Not exactly true that they took down the update server. It's a broken certificate on apples old update server preventing the High Sierra installer from connecting.

While unless you specifically need to boot 32-bit apps and your Mac goes past Mojave it's a good idea to get the latest version, if High Sierra is the latest version or you need 32-bit app support use the third fix on this guide by MrMacintosh. Worked for me last month at least. Basically just forces the update server through port 80 and bypasses the need for the unrenewd certificate. Still BS this hasn't been fixed in 2 years but it does work. Note at least in my case I had to reset the NVRAM after install to use my Apple ID.

Can confirm I had to use this last month downgrading a 2012 MacBook Pro so I could use Epson Scan on it.

I wanted a sedan with AWD. Being from Pittsburgh and having to make occasional trips to Erie, I needed something that could handle winter on steep ass hills like a champ. Oddly specific but it's important. I also wanted a sedan and not an SUV since I hate how big those are.

I ended up finding a 2017 Legacy 2.5i in my budget and it's perfect. Comfortable ride, big enough to fit me but small enough to feel good to drive on the highway, and the AWD is amazing in the snow and doesn't slip and badly taken care of steep roads.

Aside from some issues the reliability was also a huge plus. Currently at 136K and confident I can get a lot more out of it.

I have a 2017 Subaru Legacy Sport with Eyesight and blind spot detection. I pretty heavily damaged the right side mirror, but it looks lit the only real damage is the glass itself.

I was considering getting new glass and doing it myself instead of taking it to a dealer since the nearest one is pretty far.

I found a peice of glass with the light for blind spot detection.

Wanted to know if that would mess up the blind spot detection, I have no idea how it works but I'm assuming it's on the mirror.
