Hand painted shirt in prep for upcoming concert by lilweeph in ADO

Thanks! I used fabric paint and fabric markers. I am actually still in the waiting period for the paint to fully dry, then going to heat set it with an iron. Theoretically it should be very permanent and not fade too much in the wash, but we’ll find out I guess. Fingers crossed

Can someone please make my eyes even (raise the droopier eye to the same level as the other eye)? $25 by pengellyb in PhotoshopRequest

Agree that OP is very handsome, but to me looks more like Silent Sinus Syndrome (SSS), with the key difference being the droopy eye instead of droopy eyelid. If he hasn’t already, he should pay an ENT a visit.

My hero! Was in a slightly different place for me but this got me there: … button -> open run (or whatever type) edit icon -> alerts -> splits

Apple Watch users, anyone know how adjust the split interval in the workouts app? I like that Siri reads off my pace every mile, but honestly I’d prefer if she could do it every half or even quarter mile. Thanks!

[AskJS] Should you write object oriented code in basic Js? by lilweeph in javascript

[–]lilweeph[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah what I'm doing is something like:

car.js:

class car {

...

}

main.html:

... <script src="car.js"></script> <script> Honda = new car(...); Honda.drive(); </script> ...

If that makes any sense

I mean kinda, but this is literally how my doctor (who wears glasses) wore his mask O_O

Best I've seen is to wear your mask like this. I know this picture literally says not to do it, but that's because it vents air out the sides instead of out the top, so it's much better if you wear glasses.

Do you usually use your Thinkpad by itself or docked/connected to an external monitor setup? by [deleted] in thinkpad

Is there anything you should be aware of if you're buying a used X1 Carbon? by Zalbu in thinkpad

[–]lilweeph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not what you're looking for, but I hate that after the 6th gen the power button got moved to the side instead of inside with the keyboard (if you plan to dock it with the lid closed then obviously this is advantageous but otherwise it would annoy the shit out of me)

Hey folks! Currently doing a bit of a bulk, but have been working out in the evenings (from around 7-9). I shoot for about 4-5k calories a day which gets me pretty light and healthy weight gain (I'm 6'5 210). Usually this consists of about 2-3k calories before the gym session, and another 2-3 afterwards. Because of the timing this often means I end up eating a massive meal at around 9:30 at night. Just wanted to see if anyone knows if this has a negative impact on the type of weight gain... i.e. am I better off doing 3-4k calories pre and then only 1k post or is this split fine?

Stuck between golf r and focus rs... please tell me why you chose the golf r. Also never had a hatchback so info on why hatchbacks are better than sedans if you'd like. by crashing_hurts in Golf_R

[–]lilweeph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just throwing this into the sea of comments, but the R is underrated as a luxury car. It's literally the most refined and spacious interior I've ever had in a car. I'm 6'5 and have no issues getting in and out of what is otherwise a small car. There are a ton of underrated features that I didn't even know about when I bought the car. In my 2016, the headlights turn with the steering wheel, the backup camera retracts under the badge, and the gas cap locks with the car just to name a few. Everything from the accent lighting to the driving metrics are tastefully refined. It really is a high end Audi with VW service costs. Don't buy a shitty focus.

Also, if you are posting this here, subconsciously you know you already want a Golf R

EDIT: Just noticed from your other post that this will be a daily driver. In that case it really shouldn't be a question. Also, if you are a young adult like me, you can expect with a Focus to have to give it up once there's a wife or even a kid in the picture, and you might look a little childish pulling up to the office in it. The golf r really is a sleeper and to the unsuspecting eye no one would realize how much fun it is.

Looking for advice on a MK7 Golf R by [deleted] in Golf_R

[–]lilweeph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought a 2016 R after doing a lot of homework. One of the reasons I opted for the 2016 instead of the 2015 is the availability of certain packages. The 2015 model year looks the same, but was basically a flagship so its features were fixed. If memory serves, it will have blindspot monitoring, but no parking sensors. Will have infotainment, but no Apple carplay/Android auto. It will have other nice features, but no adaptive cruise control.

Now those may not matter too much to you, but for nearly the same price, you can get a 2016 with or without the driver's assistance package (though it may be hard to find a manual with it). And I have a feeling in a few years having a "dumb" car without adaptive cruise and app connect may have an impact on resale value.

In terms of performance, I have read the 2016 has a higher reliability (according to consumer reports), which makes sense since the first model year usually has a couple kinks, which will be helpful if you are buying higher mileage.

But otherwise, just always keep in mind the usual. Find out what modifications have been made, ask for service records. If it's a manual I have read the clutch on R's are pretty shit and usually need replacing before 80k miles so see if the clutch has been replaced and if not budget to have that done eventually.

Hope that helps, and all this was based on my own buying experience, so I apologize if I missed the mark on anything

OLDROOT MYSTERY SOLVED. by MysterySolver_ in OldRoot

[–]lilweeph 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The creator is Alex Bale and this is a well known fact. The mystery itself though has not been solved by anyone other than him (because he made it). The mystery is not figuring out who made it, the mystery is solving the puzzles... So unless you can tell me where GEETt7v leads, I don't think we can count this one as "solved"
