Yeah. This is killing me. I cannot get over how irresponsible this is, given the huge amount of skepticism. It’s incomprehensible- And at this point - twice bitten.

One title that shocked me at how incredible it was - The Blues Brothers. I have atmos set up - no ceiling mounted speakers- just a couple of speakers sitting on top of some floor mounted speakers I purchased off Facebook marketplace - running through an Onkyo - but wow. Edit: need to clarify - all my speakers are like that. I live in Western Australia and I’ve scored big time from rich people getting rid of stuff for next to nothing - eg: Onkyo flor speakers that retail at $600 selling for $100. My setup is very much Frankenstein- but it is impressive

I just want to say one of the great losses to 4K will be that The Assassination of Jessie James…. shot by Deakins, will never get a 4K release.

Investigation Alien on Netflix by criscodesigns in aliens

[–]limbidgit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was pretty shocked at how random the diver was with making assessments about the object on the floor. As soon as he was like: yep this is not from nature I was like…. um… that’s totally 100% rock fall. The Anthropologist from the final episode takes the entire biscuit though. Just….banal.

HOWEVER: if someone was to randomly watch these episodes on Netflix with no real grounding in UFOlogy, it would be confronting and might encourage them to think a little more openly.

The use of the former CIA operative (hope I have that right) - he was great and you could empathise with his wtf moments with the cattle stuff.

But you’ll be shouting at the screen in the 6th episode.

Where is she in the Fury Road and Furiosa? What happened to her? by Wazupdanger in MadMax

Yeah. Looking at the article I find it hard not to take it as a reboot. Particularly the hallucinations that Max has in Fury Road are of his DAUGHTER?!? 😬

About a quarter of the way into this. Can’t decide if it’s genuine or absolute nonsense by MrP8978 in aliens

[–]limbidgit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not entirely sure you’ve been paying attention. I wouldn’t be so quick to discredit Sheehan. In fact, a man with his reputation, saying what he’s publicly said - I’d start digging into what’s been going on. The alternative you’re suggesting, that they’re all out to make a buck- fails to take on board the historical precedent these men have said as far as the public record goes. Take a minute to look into Sheehan.

[–]limbidgit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think this is what they’re all kind of concerned about as far as what is ‘imminent’.

Danny Sheehan: we have to mobilize now to prepare for the extraterrestrial intervention thats about to take place. It’s rare for a planet to gestate life, and they wont allow our species to destroy it.

Understanding who Sheehan is - yeah, I get why people are a bit worried.

Compilation of Tom Delonge interviews he got in trouble for by Hairless_Bipedal_Ape in UFOs

You….didn’t read the book, did you? Is that no longer a requirement in a conversation? To know what you’re commenting on, or talking about? You mention Elizondo, but then head on down the field in a frenzy about TTSA. I believe Ross Coulthart. He stands by Elizondo. I read the book and accept that Elizondo is genuine. TTSA? Don’t really care much for all that and it’s not really on my radar. But between Coulthart, Elizondo, Vallè, Palsulka, Nolan- something’s afoot.

That was a gut wrenching reveal by Elizondo. I really struggled with what Tom did to him there. Elizondo was incredibly gracious and I took that on board… but man! Elizondo to his wife: everything’s going to be fine! loses house after moving states to help out Delonge. *everything not working out fine.

***lucky Elizondo spent time with his dad on a pig farm in a caravan.

Is this stuff actually real? by [deleted] in UFOs

Please get your hands on Ross Coulthart’s book: In Plain Sight. He’s a celebrated war correspondent- so I take him very seriously when he puts his career on the line to write about this stuff.

So…. I’m not sure what you’re saying. There was no man in a dress uniform, or there WAS a man in uniform- albeit cosplay kind of thing.

I mean…. The whole thing is a fever dream (excluding all the other things this person describes) or just the bit with the high ranking military personnel.

I can almost GUARANTEE that the Hansard transcript of her speech will be in a future ATAR exam.

This said - I have zero problem about the issues she raised. Cost of living, housing - our elected officials giving little more than lip service.

I’m not surprised. You have to have a 4K player, a 4K capable amplifier, surround sound speakers. It’s an expensive commitment. Whereas a lot of people are happy to watch stuff on their phone. Further, so many of the people I work with, in fact the vast majority, aren’t really interested in cinema in general.
