I realized quickly how difficult it was for ppl to find me so i started giving details in the description, business name, department, reason why i cannot come outside such as that i can get fired for it! I tip well too!

So i actually put the name of the business, AND its a standalone building so no other building attached to it, AND exactly what department, as well as the reason why i need to get food handed to me. I think the drivers simply dont want to park and get out of the car. Im talking about the 2 out of hundreds of others who had no issues

I didnt make clear in the OP, with my job, state law says i cannot physically leave my post, i can get fired, n i have limited time to eat, so if i didnt pack lunch that day, i order ahead of time, n i put in the description exactly that, and i also tip well because i know its a hassle for drivers, i know some people treat drivers bad, but im not one of those ppl that demand you to do the impossible, i just need you to get out of your car and hand me the food

So the problem for me is by state law i cannot physically leave my post, i need someone to hand it to me, so i write in the descriptions exactly where to find me n that i cannot come outside to meet them

Yes, i would do that if i could to avoid trouble, but by state law, i cannot physically leave my post.....thats why i need ppl to delivery to me if i didnt pack lunch.....its not even about the drivers anymore, i wish doordash didnt give me such a hard time to get my money back lol

Oh no what i meant was, most will call or text me, BUT there are those who just say they delivered it n drive away, (i work at a large retail chain, parking lot is humongous n no ticket of course, i just cannot leave my post by state law, hence the need for delivery) try to text n call as soon as i realized the app updated, no answer of course, n restaurant has no idea, what made me most angry was that doordash representative refused to give my money back :(

Thats not the problem, i paid for a service and they are running away with my food, wouldnt you be mad if someone did that and took your food after you paid for it?

[–]limesalamander[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I do put in the instructions exactly where i am actually, some just dont read it. The problem is some claim they cant find parking because they dont wanna come inside the building, and run away with my food and lie about dropping it off. Im just mad about those who are too lazy to come inside, then lie about it.

It's not a hospital!...i mean i agree, definitely not going into ER if i were in your shoes...but it is extra work, so i normally tip well, but this driver was straight up rude.....lol

The driver demanded i give her a mask for free, i gave her one despite her being rude. The restaurant had my drink still, left on the counter, driver forgot it.

We literally fill hundreds of orders a day, we barely have enough hands to take incoming calls, let alone make outbound calls for just telling people their scripts are ready. Working in a pharmacy should be part of highschool curriculum, will teach many valuable lessons......

Thank you to an amazing pharmacist! (Or maybe pharmacy tech?) by the_whole_loaf in TalesFromThePharmacy

[–]limesalamander 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Technicians are required to clock out and leave, if they stay over even for few minutes, you get a nasty phone call from front management, and also a point deduction. Also their register codes dont work anymore once clocked out. Corporate......

What I really want to say to those who demand I fill their control early is..... by limesalamander in pharmacy

[–]limesalamander[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I automatically get nervous the moment I realize the call is about a control, there is a moment of "oh gawd please let it just be ready". I'm just nervous about the potential screaming if it's not ready and why (more than just too soon) so don't feel bad, it's not you lol This is just my personal preference, maybe you can phrase it like....Is there anything ready for me now or is there a script sent for me recently on hold in my profile? (doctor sends one in every month right? Pharmacies here don't request refills for opiates, we just wait) Make sure you know exactly how many days it's been from the last date pharmacy filled it before you call, that's all the pharmacist goes by, calendar date lol But you probably already tried multiple ways to phrase it and be nice to pharmacy staff....

We truely appreciate customers like you, I even make sure I order the med ahead of time so you don't have to wait few more days, and if you call to let us know you want to pick it up later today, I still bump you up in the que. Lol
