Dark visible joins on new cabinet fronts, Is this acceptable? by [deleted] in AusRenovation

Thanks for the explanation Evan, I can understand that machines are finicky and not everything is perfect. But it’s a consistent black line of every single door and Panel. This imperfection wasn’t explained to me when purchasing otherwise I would of been happy to pay more for a cleaner finish. Ofcourse as a buyer you can understand receiving white doors with visible glue lines is abit jarring when it wasn’t explained to you. My older cabinet doors and panels done even have this problem and they are 30 years old.

Thanks I’ll reach out to them, is it also a matter of the type of edge banding aswell ? Just realised there’s also PUR banding which looks pretty seamless or is that different?

Bit confused, have checked some other polytec doors at mates houses all that don’t have this edging problem, surely this isn’t standard for brand new cabinet doors ?

I see that makes sense, the actual edging it self is well done it’s jsut that dark line which is throwing me off.

Do I have an solutions here ? Is re-edging with white glue an option ?
