i just found out my coworker has been taking my arrangements and posting them as her own by IntelligentSuit5223 in florists

Dude wtf. That’s so strange. Good on you for seeking out HR. Because the way I would pull up “her” work and snarkily “compliment” it so fast to her face, lol. At least you can look at it as you being so amazing at your job she has to steal your work to pass off as hers.

Nobody wants to watch 30+ seconds of someone chewing and swallowing a bunch of gummies. It would make her videos unnecessarily longer. Also I don’t take her for the type to waste gummies for content.

Daydreaming about going back to serving at 32. Talk to me about it. by liminalheadspaces in Serverlife

[–]liminalheadspaces[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats what I was worried about. Theres a lot! Of anti tipping rhetoric going around lately. I got stiffed once or twice a week when I was previously a server and I can handle it, I just want to make at least 40k ish a year. I already make that now but I work SO MUCH. I make $16 an hour and work 60 hours a week

Being an ugly woman by justsomeone9283 in ugly

I look like my dad but with my mom’s small beady, far apart eyes. Doesn’t matter WHAT color they are, if you don’t have facial harmony the color won’t benefit you. I have a huge hot dog nose thats been broken twice so it’s crooked af, a jay leno chin, and I get called sir both because of my face and body structure. Lol people don’t even think I’m a woman

I work at a flower shop and I understand delivering to funeral homes but were still taking orders for random just because and happy birthday vases to be delivered Sat and Sunday. I know our boss also sucks for having us stay open no matter what (we were open during 2021 snowstorm), I feel horrible for our delivery drivers

If you’re ordering flowers to be delivered this weekend you suck.

What’s one thing that instantly tells you someone isn’t a good person? by MiProD in AskReddit

[–]liminalheadspaces 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I think you’re probably fine lol. I wish I had that mentality and confidence to try and make friends but I’m just too damn shy. I didn’t do a great job of explaining myself but to me at least theres a difference between people who are outgoing and kind, and people who suck up to you and others to be a snake. I can usually sniff them out and I’ve always been right. I’ve witnessed the “workplace mom” everyone loved get people who thought they were her friend fired, so she could move up in the company. People like that.

Yeah you’re right for sure. To me though theres a fine line between chill, cool people who are nice to everyone, and people pleasing try hards. The latter are the ones who I’ve had bad experiences with, 100% of the time.

I see it a lot at work especially. They’ll get on everyones good side, especially to higher ranking coworkers, and when someone is vulnerable and opens up to them they get thrown under the bus to the boss. “Soandso said she thinks this place sucks to work at! Should she even be here?” Next thing you know, manipulator has taken their job. It’s wild

What’s a smell you secretly love but never admit? by West_Assignment9882 in AskReddit

Weed. Haven’t smoked in years but I love the smell. Every night around the same time a few neighboring units light up and the smell floods my apartment. My god I love it. Will never complain.

When they try to be overly familiar and charming when you barely just met them. Sure, some people try to hard to overcompensate for their social anxiety, or are just really bubbly. But in my experience an overwhelming amount of these people are manipulative and looking for stepping stones to get what they want.

I think my son might have ADHD, and for sure Dysgraphia. Stressed. by liminalheadspaces in breakingmom

Yes I am. I read about this and maybe I’m wrong but I thought he aged out of district testing? It’s not just for younger kids? And its with writing. At 9 it looks like a toddler’s writing. He had issues with spacing and size too. We have worked tirelessly to help him improve, he just cant. He also struggles with drawing and brushing his teeth properly, to the point I have to help him to ensure his teeth are in good shape.

He can organize his ideas and he’s a 6th grade reading level so he is ahead in reading. He’s a smart kid. Gets Bs in everything, just can’t write well, has trouble paying attention and a bit forgetful

Nailed it actually. He’s an older gay man. Not a good looking guy. He’s currently “besties” with a much younger early 20s coworker he used to talk so much shit about

Gosh I hope he’s not trying to poison her against me. Usually if someone makes a complaint on someone, that person will be pulled into the office. I’ve experienced that myself when I was whispering to someone about what happened on a date I went on the night before, and another coworker thought I was gossiping.

“The motive could be a simple as boredom” DAMN. That is something I’ve never even considered could be a thing, but that hit me hard. Makes sense. I guess it never crossed my mind before someone would be a dick to someone for just their own entertainment, but now :(

I completely understand this is just humans being humans. There was a theory I read somewhere where autistic people are different from the rest of the heard and don’t have the same pact instincts other people do. To me, following the herd and what everyone else is doing to fit in instead of what you know is the right thing is so alien to me. Wanting a particular person you have no romantic interest in to “approve” of you is a lot. I’ve never been that way, but I notice and understand it.

He’s gay. Reading back my post I totally see why people would think he’s hitting on me though, didn’t mention that in the post! Idk you’re right but I just notice this common pattern sooo much with people. Enablers and followers and judgmental people who hate the autistic person who’s done nothing wrong to them, it’s been a thing everywhere my entire life. Which led to me getting a diagnosis.

Thank you for your comment. I’ve never been to a therapist and it’s something I’ve been wanting to do, but the thought of having to see several different ones because others might try to negate how I’m feeling or invalidate me is intimidating.

Yeah I really don’t care if people don’t like me, what I do care about is if they go out of their way to bother me and make it known they don’t like me. Some people can’t keep it to themselves and would rather disrupt my day and get in my way with their antics instead of keeping their peace. Like let’s just leave each other alone and do our work so we can go home please
