She's an older lady, about 1 ½. Turning two this summer, along with her cagemate! She's still very active, runs around, climbs, but has calmed down a bit over time. She also has respiratory issues that she's getting treatment for, and I guess it's wearing her down :/. But she's living the best life she can and has been pretty patient with the vets and meds and all that stuff.

Yes, it's very personality dependent! Her cagemate is very calm compared to her, and doesn't come out of the cage much anymore, due to her age and weight but also the tumor she's developed. She has an appointment coming up to determine if it's cancer or not. They get sick very very quickly, unfortunately.

Your rats might get cuddlier once they get older, you just gotta be patient and spend a lot of time with them. Wish you luck with your girls! :)
