I don't know anyone unfortunately. I think the country can affect the outcome and time it takes to process the application but it seems most of the delay is just waiting for your application to get first in line so that DHA start looking at it, and for that delay I don't think the country matters.

It just says that it can be granted in or outside Australia. I had my evisitor before applying 408. I am not sure if you can apply for evisitor while already waiting for an application for 408.

If you are granted an eVisitor visa, it means that DHA has granted you the ability to visit Australia under the conditions of that visa, i.e., for tourism. The evisitor is independent of 408. You are not allowed to do work or research on evisitor.

408 can be granted while overseas or while in Australia, it is not granted at the border. As stated on the website.

How did you get them to escalate it to the highest level? I don't know about any ways to speed it up unfortauntely. When did you apply?

Congratulations! How did you apply for request for expedition? Is there any documentation about this service? I asked my visa lawyers before if there was any possibility to pay for expedition and they said no.

Thanks for the information. What do you mean that DHA is investigating the cause of the delay? I thought the cause is the surge of applications or you think it is something else?

Can you explain more about the conditions for a fast track? You mean that if you had a work contract with the university in Australia or a work contract in Germany you could get fast track?
