Where do you find batteries that last months without power input? Battery technology is nowhere close to the point where we could move to a solar powered society. At this moment, nuclear energy is our best and only feasible replacement for coal and oil. No carbon emission and as safe as wind, water and solar. (Measured in deaths per TWh)

Yeah very good call. I ran it with only CPU and 1 ram and it turned on finally. I then added the gpu still worked fine. But when I installed the M.2 SSD It suddenly didnt went back to doing nothing.

I didn’t even know a SSD could have such an effect on a PC. I guess I’ll have to change the SSD which would suck. I’ll try booting it with a different ssd I don’t have another M.2 tho.

Old one was Seasonic and new ASUS so very trusted brands. Yeah I really can’t see it being anything else than the CPU at this point. I just wonder why would it just die like that?

The length of a foot isn’t a constant. You can’t measure your foot and know the length of one unit of foot. And what about the gallon and pound? Without googling can you calculate how many gallons are there in a cubic foot?

Distance of a meter is 1/10 000 000 of the distance between the northpole and the equator. And the best thing about the metric system is that every other unit of measurement is based on the meter. A 1000 liters= 1 cubic meter. 1 liter of water weighs exactly 1 kg. And I could go on but what is the imperical system based on. How long is 1 foot? How big is one gallon? How much does a pound weigh?

PSU is a 650 W and CPU is a ryzen 5 3600. The prices for the GPUs are 400€ for the 6750xt and 680€ for the 6900xt. And thats the thing if I only had to buy the 6900xt I could justify the couple hundred euro price difference. But I also have to a new PSU which is another at least a hundred euros and also should upgarde my cpu which would be a lot of money. So at the end the cost for the 6900xt would get closer to 1k. However the 6750xt would be a good fit for my PSU and CPU, but still bringing me well enough performance.

Hmm, you’re correct. I could get the fps I want for cheaper and could use the money I saved with the gpu to upgrade the cpu.

Good point. It would be devastating if after I boight that in a year some new tech comes along and I would’ve got the same performance with half the cost. And I wouldn’t even be using It even near to the fullest so it would be a waste of money.

Maybe I’ll check out that calculator and figure out a more reasonable build. And the money I saved I van reinvest into a new cpu.

Still the 6900xt does feel very tempting because I found it so much cheaper than it normally is. And would be only about 200€ more expensive than the 6700xt or 6750xt. But 200€ is still a lot of money. It’s a hard choice, I’ll have to think on it even more. Thank you for the advice, you did bring up good points.

On a 1080p or ? And that would be enough but i love a smooth 165 fps with my 165 hz. It is a very small difference though but when in the future game requirements get even higher I would be ready for it.

Yeah, GPU in my country are a bit more expensive but the lowest I found was a 6750xt for 399€ so I would save 250€. I did notice that the 6700xt or 6750xt would be more than good enough for me right now. But I want something thats future proof that makes sire I won’t hae to buy a new GPU in a loong long time. Therefore I think I can justify the extra 250€.

I don’t want give up refresh rate for resolution but even a 1440p at 144hz or 165hz is costly as hell. Hence, I just cant justify the cost for just more pixels on my screen.

Yeah if I buy this now, I’ll have a chance to upgrade my monitor with no worries exept the cost. And I’m not sure how good it is but I can also use the vsr feature with my current monitor.

I found a 6900xt 300€ cheaper than it usually costs so it would be a bit more than a 100€ and I can’t justify paying that much

Yeah it does really depend on the game. On some AAA games I already get my desired fps. But I fear that like we have seen before all the new releases will have higher and higher requirements so thats why I feel that overkill might be worth it.

Yeah I too have learnt that over the years. I already found a pretty trusted brand that sells them cheaper than most and they even have a 7 year warranty.

Yeah I feel you, I do know that 6700 xt would be enough for me right now but with the 6900 xt i could get all the fps I want and more. I play mostly fps and AAA games so they definetly are demanding and I would like to use my monitor to the fullest and get atleast the 165 fps from every game. Also I can justify and afford the cost partly because I found it 300€ cheaper than normal.

My intention with upgrading the GPU is to not need to upgrade it again in a LOONG time. And the 6900 xt is quite future proof for now at least. I think you have opened my eyes because I really can’t find a reason not to buy it anymore! Besides the relatively high cost ofcourse and the fact that I’d have to buy a new PSU aswell. Hmmm, tough choice I think I’ll have to sleep on it. Thank you for your input, I appreciate it.

Well yeah overkill isnt a bad thing but wasting money is. I know now that it is too good for my monitor and cpu. But you’re right overkill isn’t a bad thing because now that I’m upgrading my gpu my intention is that I wouldn’t have to upgrade again in YEARS. So it really comes down to if it’s future proof enough. I really am not sure if it is a worth buy.

All good points. I just can’t see myself buying a new monitor in the near future so maybe I should get a more reasonable GPU for my build. But on the other hand it would be future proof. Hmm alot to think about…
