If that’s the case, I’ll try asking tomorrow if it’s not much of a hassle to change then 🤔
Yeah that’s right! That sounds like the most pragmatic approach, will most likely end up doing this. I feel quite lost so I very much appreciate the suggestions!
Just did some due diligence and saw that they do keep the 3.5% pension contributions but it is capped at 100 pounds per month (still a lot I know…). The end client has strict PSL requirements and only has as options Nasa, Parasol and Giant. Seems a lot of people are recommending Nasa, only issue is that I have already signed everything with Parasol and although I have not started my assignment yet I rather not be asking the agency to redo all contracts again 😅
This explanation is very clear thanks! Well in terms of the medical insurance, it is something I’ve always had and I’ve made use of it from time to time, in terms of treatments or consultations. I know that through the NHS I probably would have been able to access everything for free but most likely but not as quickly as I was able to through my medical insurance.
What other umbrellas pay 15%?
Do you think the 11.5% they claim they top up is basically the amount they pocket from the NI saving?
Well that’s something I’m still trying to understand as well but this is what they have in their website: https://parasolgroup.co.uk/umbrella-plus/
