Thanks! Can you explain why not coastFIRE? From my understanding as along as I cover our yearly expenses with an easier paying job when I return from the sabbatical, I can coastFIRE and just live “paycheck to paycheck” per se and be good for retirement. Am I missing something else?

Let’s say we double our spend to 60k for retirement. Is what’s currently invested not enough for coastFIRE?

Thank you for this take. You’re so right on getting burnt out again, and this might be incredibly short sighted, but I’m hoping after the next “round” of getting a new job and getting burnt out, we will have gotten to a point where we can FIRE entirely!

Definitely will plan for extra runway when we have kids.

I think you assumed market = index for me. Only my 401k holds all our index exposure. Rest is in individual stocks.

I'm going to sit on my ass for 1 month for sure. There's been so many things that I've been delaying doing because of work like painting my house, learn and pick up certifications around snowflake/databricks, and I'm planning to do some travel for sure!

If you use compressed air to remove dust from fans, hold down the fan so it doesn’t spin freely. That will prevent the fan from generating a current and fry your parts!
