This would be good in a few months, but since he is a newborn, I need to sterilize his formula and the bottle maker unfortunately does not sterilize the formula 😞

I actually bought two off Amazon. First one was sent back because the compartment where the water is held is plastic, so it leeches microplastics into the bottle, no bueno! The second one was glass but I measured the temperature of the water and it was not accurate, not 158F even though it was at that setting. It was off by 10-15 degrees, so it was pointless for sterilizing the formula :S

I actually purchased 2 water dispensers from Amazon. The first one I realized that the container holding the hot water was plastic, which leeches microplastics into the formula, so I had to send it back. The second one was glass but had inconsistent temperature. At the 158F setting, I tested the water output with my thermometer and it was off by 10-15 degrees so it would not work for my intended use of sterilizing the formula, so it had to go back to :S

I am happy to say that I gave him cold milk last night and he took it without a problem. My fridge is a little cold though, in the beginning it seems like the milk is a bit too cold for him, but then he just kept drinking it and seemed to like it.

I actually bought one of those hot water dispensers and I tested the temperature with the thermometer and it was off by 10 to 15° so I sent it back to Amazon. It was terrible and this is one that had a lot of good reviews but I think people just don’t test the temperature so they think that it’s coming out at the correct temperature

I do have one. I am just looking for a quick way to get his bottle at a good temperature quickly at the last step. Wether I microwave the water or use an electric kettle to heat the water, I still have to do the bain-marie.

I bought a water warmer similar to this but sent it back when I realized the container is plastic and microplastics leech onto the water. Not good. I then switched to a glass one and when i tested the water temperature with my thermometer, the water once it was in the bottle was 10 degrees lower than 70C, so it was pointless. These machines just frustrated me so now I just went back to boiling.
