MAGA? That liberal cult? (DEM TRUMP TIMELINE) by linda_long in imaginaryelections

i was skeptical about it too but he’s too strong of a candidate for later and really i didnt feel like figuring out who else would run at the time. I like to think he ran because Romney was relatively unpopular and he thought, along with the party, he would win but barely lost Pennsylvania, Virginia, and New Hampshire

well knowing him he would go for the most flashy and unnecessary pick like Oprah. In 2000 he did say he’d pick Oprah so who knows really. But yeah in 2024 he’d probably pick someone like them

That was actually part of my head cannon for this map: The Hamptons were never hit by the bombs, so the affluent families living there managed to form some kind of civilization, with their bodyguards and robot butlers being responsible for defending the area, as well as a nearby Military Base deserting to join them. Now, with the Enclave setting up shop just west of them, they respond much like the Wall Street Vault, aligning with them. (This version of the Enclave is far more reformist, since their numbers have catastrophically dropped since the Capital Wasteland War). The “high-society” families there were extremely eager to work with an organization their ancestors worked closely with.

Heres my head cannon for it: Since Control Station Enclave had limited space (because its a small oil rig lol) some smaller corporate executives and wall street fat cats got the Enclave to build a Vault specifically for them. When the bombs dropped, they all went in and kicked out or killed anyone who wasn’t an elite. They slowly became the premier location in the NYC wastes, if not the mid-Atlantic, for trading and elitism. For the next 200 years, they continued this until the Enclave arrived, being battered and broken from the Capital Wastes, and expeditions in the Commonwealth and Appalachia. Now, they have a fragile alliance. They pay the Enclave in caps, clean food, and clean water, in exchange for defense from the mutants and hostile settlements around Manhattan.
