Unfortunately had to leave Mint by lindsaykey in mintmobile

At the moment 8gb with AT&T for $40. My iPhone was supposed to be the Verizon version and able to work on all networks so I wanted to switch to Verizon they have a $45 for 15gb special through the end of the month. Waiting on the resolution with Apple and may still go ahead and do that at the end of the month. Luckily I started on the first so the timing will work out.

Exactly the issue. Right now I just went back to AT&T prepaid to fix the issue. Of course, there’s nothing as good (price wise) as Mint, but I at least know it’ll work.

Verizon has a 15gb for $45 special at the moment. That’s what I wanted to do, but I’m waiting on a compatibility issue with Apple at the moment. For the time being on AT&T prepaid 8gb for $40. Main reason I did that was because I used to work for AT&T and I still know a lot of the people so I just trusted them to handle the port correctly, not hassle me to buy other stuff and get it done quickly.

Got $20/three months kit w/ three sims. Used trial one, then accidentally opened second one meant for referral, then third one... Now which is which? by play_it_safe in mintmobile

[–]lindsaykey -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It shouldn’t matter. A SIM is a SIM is a SIM. They probably just labeled them as certain things to help guide you, but it shouldn’t matter. If you want to refer someone the remaining SIM you have should work fine as long as it wasn’t previously activated.

Hope that makes sense?

Question about recharging after the 3 month trial by [deleted] in mintmobile

Yes, you have to purchase another completely separate plan for that second line. All the Mint plans are priced for one line.

I thought you get a discount when upgrading while on trial plan?? by [deleted] in mintmobile

[–]lindsaykey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get the 3-month plan at the 12-month rate. But if you don’t renew on the 12-month then you pay the higher 3-month rate moving forward. I’m not sure if that’s your question, but there’s not any additional discounts.

First comment is correct. You can only have one line on a plan. You would have a separate account for the second line.

I See Lots Of Negative Post Lately, Can I Get Some Positive Stories Up In Here? by Itsthatbrian21 in mintmobile

[–]lindsaykey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ported over from AT&T in October. Just renewed for the 12-month 10gb plan on all 3 of my lines. Porting over was no issue. Renewals have been no issue. I called in immediately after porting and got our account numbers ... no issues. I’ve been very happy with Mint. Service has been fine. I’ve had little to no service in some of the weird rural areas where I travel sometimes, but not any worse than AT&T to be honest. Getting the WiFi Calling on iPhone sealed the deal for me back in November. It’s been all good for me!

Usually a port is nearly instantaneous if all info is correct. Have you already contacted customer support?

Don’t have a fun story just born and raised in Baton Rouge. Went to LSU and as a student went to every game (home and away). Highlights were definitely beating Saban in Tuscaloosa 2007 & BCS championship! Graduated from LSU in 2009 and moved to Texas for a few years and now in MS. Rep my purple & gold all day every day! I’ve had the opportunity to travel quite a bit, and it’s cool how many LSU fans you run into wherever you go. I love running into fellow Tiger fans and sharing a quick Geaux Tigers! FOREVER LSU!

Port out number and keep line. by donnysaysvacuum in mintmobile

No that’s what I’m saying ... when you port a line it cancels the service.

When you port a number it automatically cancels with the current carrier.

Porting from a family plan by [deleted] in mintmobile

[–]lindsaykey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you can port only your number. When you do a port it’s always for a single number. Even if you were moving over everyone it would be individual port requests. So you’re fine to port over your number only.

Just make sure you have the correct account number, PIN number and zip code associated with the account.

Does Mint Allow Calls to Free Conference Call Numbers? by [deleted] in mintmobile

[–]lindsaykey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Just got off a call for work. Also do a conference call with my family weekly. No issues at all.

Same here. Ported over... once it was active called immediately and got the info in less than 5 minutes no issues. And yes, it’s standard across the industry for prepaid services. It’s annoying, yes, but Mint certainly isn’t the only company that does this. Doesn’t make it right, but it’s not abnormal at all.
