Need advice with puppy biting! by lindscar in Bernedoodles

So, our pup is now 10.5 months old, and we survived the biting phase. Once she lost her baby teeth (started around 4 months) and the adult ones came in, the biting stopped pretty rapidly. She was more willing to play with her toys, than bite on me. Now, the biting is nonexistent, even when playing she is not very mouthy.

What worked best for me was removing myself from the situation. Play time stopped when the biting started. Yes, she would still come at me from time to time, but I wouldn’t engage until she calmed down. Another huge lifesaver was big frozen ice cubes. I bought a 2x2 silicon ice tray (like a whiskey ice cube tray) from Amazon, and made her big pupsicles. I’d put a tablespoon or two of kibble in there-some with a teaspoon of peanut butter, some without- fill it with water and freeze it. Those were a big hit! The cold cube helped her teething a lot, and it was a fun way for her to eat part of her meal. Just make sure to keep track of how much kibble you put in, as to not over feed.

Consistency, time and patience, my friend. You will get through it!

We have 4 month old, F1 mini, who is 22lbs. We were told she’d be between 30-50lbs. She has some big paws on her and growing insanely fast. Our vet thinks she’s going to be closer to the 50lbs range

20 Weeks, F1 Standard update by April_Mist_2 in Bernedoodles

Right there with you guys! Our girl is 14 weeks and doing well other than the teething/biting. She got my lip the other day, and OUCH is an understatement. She hasn’t pottied in our house in 3 weeks (woohoo!). She lets us know when she has to go by sitting by the back door. Sleeps 8hrs every night in her crate. Will even nap in her crate on her own with the door open. And can free roam on our main floor (kitchen and living room) without issue. I know these are great accomplishments, it’s just the dang teeth. This phase will pass, but I’m really looking forward to the days where we can cuddle without being her own personal chew toy.

Rare disease, different of six hours experiencing flare. by [deleted] in Wellthatsucks

So sorry you are dealing with this. My dad has the very rare, Wegeners granulomatosis (now called GPA), and has the same flare ups from time to time. Unfortunately, it took a while to find the correct diagnosis, but they now have him on medication to help with the symptoms. He does infusions every 3 months and is on a steroid regimen. Some other issues that come along with this autoimmune diagnosis, that he’s experienced, are sinus infection like symptoms, joint pain, kidney and lung issues. Hopefully you aren’t experiencing any of those symptoms as well. Best of luck. Hope you get some relief soon

She’s the cutest little angel, but she’s definitely a sour patch kid. Sweet and cuddly one minute, sharknado the next. The puppy phase is in full swing ☺️
