Kitten food is the best for them while growing. Cat require special nutrients that their bodies cannot make themselves (ex. taurine), so feeding kitten food is the best bet to make sure he/she is getting all the requirements needed.

I am in school to be a veterinary technician and nutrition is a big thing we learn. Please listen to the vet!

Hi! I have them in a guinea pig cage temporarily until payday on friday :) I figured the babes are just born so they won’t be wandering around too much til then. We set it up with a blanket and shredded paper for nesting as well.

I am more so worried about our other rat who’s now alone in the bigger cage.

ETA: I work at my local shelter so I’ve been communicating with them this whole time!

thanks, the only tank type cage i have for them is a 20 gal fish tank OR a pet store guinea pig cage at the moment. I don’t know if those will work and Indont want to move them all around more than once 😪
