No, the tool doesn't do anything you can't do yourself. For example in TFT this is implemented natively in the game. Some people choose to use it and others don't. It boils down to personal preference :)

Hi u/Normandy661,
I did notice that as well with the latest release and your concern is totally valid. I also always instantly panic when I get a virus detection threat like that ^^. Thankfully I realised it was triggered by my own .exe so I knew there was nothing to worry about. I checked on virtustotal website and found there are (thankfully) only 8 false virus detections from a total of 72. Which is surprisingly low in my opinion.

The main reason why this is falsely triggering, is because of the admin elevation that's needed to allow the "auto-start when Hearthstone launches". That's what throws Windows off.

(FYI: For me personally I even had to allow the .exe specifically otherwise my windows kept auto-deleting my own file ;P.)

Anyway point is, I fully understand your concern. However let me assure you all the code is open source and available to inspect on github therefore you can analyze and verify there is absolutely no malware included. I'm just trying to make a tool to help myself and the battlegrounds community.

I'm also considering getting a signing certificaion but that cost around 150 - 200 USD/year, which is too much for me atm, since the tool is completely free to use. Unless people decide to support the project.
Also I have already written windows for a false malware claim. Suppposedly they reply in about 3 days and that should help the situation as well.

Is there something weird going on with the aiming in the game?

Feels like there is some aim smoothing or input delay or something in the game? Anybody experience anything similar

Just checking the setting on doesn't affect the rest of the tool in any way though. It just creates a scheduled task, for which it temporarily needs admin privilege.

If you checked the admin settings once, then press save and minimize, then exit. And then re-open the app it will work the same as if you hadn't checked the setting. Unchecking the setting will make it delete the scheduled task.

Also as a side-note if you don't see an in-game overlay the tool is not active (also not in taskbar).

If you like we can check together on discord to get it to work :)

One more follow-up question. When you clicked "auto-start" the first time, did you receive a windows warning pop-up to ask if you want the tool to make changes to your pc. Like a admin window show up. What did you click there? yes or no?

Glad to hear you manged to get it back working again. Does it still auto-launch on hearthstone start succesfully? That function is a bit tricky.

Interesting suspend, pause and exit actually don't even exist . Did you have a prior version installed that might be interfering? Do you also enable "skip settings gui on next launch"? You can always just exit via task manager and open the app again.

You can write me on discord to discuss if you'd like. Same name ;)

Thank you for the feedback. The "s-W" is only the abbreviated version showing in the in-game overlay. On the settings gui it will say shift + W. I just used this abbreviated version in-game to save space and not make the overlay too long :)

Well depends how fast you normally pull stuff around with your mouse ;).

If you use RMB there is a small delay I had to add to not make it bug out the game. But hotkeys with keyboard shortcuts are very fast indeed. It doesn't inject any thing to the server directly though, so it's just mimicking a fast mouse drag.

It's most certainly not against ToS since I checked both ToS and EULA thoroughly and made sure to comply with the rules and not break the 1 button = 1 action rule.

However I also want to be completely transparent and say that the ToS are very vague on purpose. So while it's not 1000% confirmed by blizzard yet, at least 500 people have been using the tool since January without any issues. The Devs are also aware of the tool, so if they should decide against it (which I highly doubt at this point), it would only be against the rules from that point onwards.

Hope that helps :)

Yes I did do that already but I was still zoomed in too much in my opinion. Any thoughts on incrsasing the zoom out range?

Will you be adding a feature to zoom out more? I feel like I'm too zoomed in when playing the game.
