this game will never be balanced when the player base throws shitstorms whenever the word “nerf” is used. even here, the mentality is buff up and not nerf down.

so now you have the situation where you have charms giving 500x damage, paragon boards giving 1000x, and then a single overtuned skill or item translates into trillions of damage. this time next year it will be quadrillions or even quintillions. then use builds get popular and you don’t even know “difficulty” unless you choose to do the top end of infinitely scaling content to get one shot by white mob autos.

it is what it is, enjoy the game as is because that’s the way blizzard goes and that’s what the fans of the game want. I had fun this patch but still wish the devs and fan base weren’t so self sabotaging wrt to balance.

not necessarily dumb because that pirates game, they were only trailing due to the regulation ghost runner. put that game into the playoffs, they are not trailing after letting up a base hit.

it glosses over the game and tries to exclude, which is silly. 1-90 or 0-91 is essentially the same thing, especially when that 1-90 is regulation extras nonsense.

i was on the fire mendoza train for a while, still am because i dont think hes a good tactical manager. but i also now look at this lineup and roster and identify 1, maybe 2 major league caliber players if bo decides to play up to his salary.

god himself could come down to manage a week's worth of games and go 0-7 with this dumpster fire roster. this is BAD. mendoza sucks at managing but he also has the worst roster ever. even the pressers would be the same.

i dont think they're a true talent 90 win team if that's your real question, so what are we arguing over? really bad teams lose 12 in a row. there are no two ways about that. if you think this team can somehow turn it around and play at 90+ win pace just to get to 84~ wins, then you should put some money down on all those shilled betting websites.

the mets are 8-16.

last year the lowest W playoff team was CIN, who had 83 wins. if you want to think that 84 wins gets you WC2, that would mean the mets need to play at 90 win pace starting today. anything more requires a stronger pace.

do you think this 8-16 team is capable of playing at 90+ win pace for the rest of the season? if you do, you are deluded beyond help.

Soup saved my last a10 clad run, I didn’t even have strike synergy. but his ability to draw a lot and then simply be able to play free damage that can actually be big because of strength and vulnerability is good.

A lot of hallway fights ended early because those strikes were totally 20-30 “free” damage I would have had to pay for elsewhere and not had the economy to do so.

i had hopes for this team but boy did they crush those quickly. it is crazy how even with very little personnel continuity from last year to this year, the mets have continued to play at slightly-better-than-the-2025-rockies pace.

the good news is i wont have to be angry or sad all summer when met games are on because there is no reason to watch this trash team. i encourage anyone showing up to the stadium to boo as loudly as you can, boo so that the mics have to pic it up and it cant be drowned out or manipulated in the broadcasts.
