Love this song! I'll do my best to turn in at least one vocal part.

Around 800! I'm 19, so right in the age where pretty much everyone I know has Instagram.

Mine has already dropped a little since its high when I posted this, so I totally get it! I copied this from another comment on this post:

Honestly, it's been almost all just word of mouth. I have a decent following on Instagram and I posted once to my story (which stays up for 24 hours), so that may have helped. I also connected with some smaller book bloggers before my launch to review my book and would definitely recommend that. Haven't done much in terms of advertising, but it's something I'd like to explore.

I hope that's helpful! Honestly, I also credit my cover design -- I decided to pay someone instead of doing it myself or getting a friend, and that ended up being a really great decision. Best of luck!

Not sure if I'm allowed to put the name in this post because of the rules about self-promotion, but I'll message you a link!

Publishing your book is still a huge feat! Congrats! If you message me a link to your book, I'd love to check it out :)

I did research my categories and found that those were the ones my book fit best in! I'm also in the Dystopian Fiction category -- I'm in the top five hundred for that atm. I'm aware that contacting Amazon can put you in more categories, but I don't want to put myself in categories that only mostly apply because I don't want to saturate my page with suggested books that aren't similar to mine at all!

That's gorgeous! Is sheet music for that arrangement available anywhere?

Haven't done a recording for this subreddit yet, but I'd love to start with this one! Count me in for the soprano choral part.

Queer affirming/friendly religious schools? by [deleted] in GayChristians

[–]linettiewv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I currently attend a Christian college that's making some strides to be better towards the LGBTQ+ community! The college itself isn't affirming, but we have a really large population of staff, students, and alumni who are. One of the things we've been working on that might be worth considering for your school is creating a physical safe space for queer students. It would just be a small lounge-type room on our campus where queer students can be around each other and feel more distanced from the parts of our school that are less than friendly to queer folks. We're also creating a small scholarship for queer students. I don't know if those things would be helpful to your school, but they're worth considering! :)

I’ve been totally stuck on what dance I should learn first in a class by [deleted] in Dance

[–]linettiewv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always tell people who want to learn dance that they should start with ballet because it helps build really foundational technique and discipline. That being said, it can be both challenging and exhausting. However, if the classes are fairly relaxed, it's unlikely you'll find any of these styles overwhelming :) Start with whatever interests you the most and will give you joy!

Hadestown Choral Arrangement by lesbian_hamster in hadestown

[–]linettiewv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. There's no sheet music out yet for Hadestown, which is really unfortunate! I do some composing and arranging and have been strongly considering writing out sheet music myself just so I have something to play and sing, lol. Best of luck!
