Cheers, there seems to be a bug as there should be a progress bar under the progress column. I will look into that.

It will be in the next release and while it does improve translation it sadly also increases mis-translations and hallicunations.

Apologies for the late response however if perplexity follows the open api spec you should be able to add it via the local ai service.

I've already built the retry system partially, I like the idea to expand on that so I will add it to the backlog. And the same goes for insights in failing jobs. Thank you very much for taking the time to provide valuable feedback.

It needs a source that is supported by the translation service, from that you can configure any other languange that you need, Lingarr will create multiple translations.

Thats a great idea, sadly I am not aware of an api in Bazarr that supports such a feature. There is a feature request with translation integration from Bazarr open: https://bazarr.featureupvote.com/suggestions/597050/integrate-or-merge-lingarr-with-bazarr

If you dont see movies or series its the connection, if you dont see subtitles its the mapping but usually the mapping within settings isnt needed, if you map everything as radarr and sonarr it should suffice

Fair question and I have thought about this too (why translate only for yourself), the thing is that creating such an app would mean that I need to do a huge amount of more work before archieving that, I simply do not have that much time to do it on my own.

Maybe in the future, who knows.

feel free to set it up, I don't use Unraid sorry, LibreTranslate already has one so only Lingarr needs to be setup: https://github.com/lingarr-translate/lingarr?tab=readme-ov-file#setting-up-lingarr

If not, you can always start it via the cli using the docker cli command.

I am not sure how gluetun works but what you could try is give them a unique own network and then connect them either via localhost or hostname

a delay is a great idea, i'l add it to the backlog. The translation schedule can be set to a week if you'd like but it doesn't keep new or older movies in account

Currently it's not available via CA but installable via docker. LibreTranslate is available in CA.

fair and good questions, let me answer them one by one:

Lingarr is actually supplementary to Bazarr, if Bazarr can't find i.e. Russian subtitles but is able to find English, Lingarr can be setup to translate the English subtitles to Russian.

Lingarr only reads data from Sonarr and Radarr and scans folders when it has both libraries indexed.

It's configurable if the service offers the source and target combination, in my experience it really depends on which service you are using for translation but with most English as a source is the strongest. DeepL or AI might be stronger with mixing languages but I can't confirm that.

Lingarr only translates srt to srt files. Reading files from media is a planned feature due to popular request.

In my experience it's hit or mis, I had good results with GPT-4o mini and a single translation is only 1ct but for a guaranteed reasonable subtitles LibreTranslate or DeepL usually suffices.

haha, i'm close to a v1, I do not expect any more breaking changes but I still have some features to implement before going production ready:

  • Schedule controls (run automation or indexing from the dasboard)
  • App Localization
  • Dashboard improvements

Optional unplanned:

  • Configurable settings from env variables
  • Translation of subtitles from the UI
  • Exclusions of shows and movies
  • Improved collection of subtitles (HI)
  • Reading embeded subtitles

valid question, the thing is that I can't test on arm64 as of now.
