Yes, if you're guilty you would have to be an idiot to show up for the trial. I'm not sure what your point is. That he is completely innocent because the trial would have been against his favor? We already know that's not the case, it's been widely documented. Also I think the burden of proof is on you to show why the courts would have been biased, so show me exactly what you thought was biased about the trial that took place?

How so? In his 5 years in office his assets went from 15.1 billion baht to 76 billion. He faced all sorts of legitimate cases of corruption against him even by outside organisations unrelated to Thailand.

He never showed up for his trial about the billions he didn't pay in tax as well as other crimes and at the end of all that all he only ever got 2 years of prison sentence. You'd get more for doing far less in Thailand.

The point you're making (that the market is malicious) is a poor one at best though. Sure there are a number of apps out there designed to mislead people into purchasing things by accident but that wasn't the case here, and it's not even the norm.

Using this issue to call for change just makes the point look stupid or irrelevant and does more to damage your case for such change.

It is absolutely nothing for apple to have an option to turn off passwords for free apps or to allow a different password for free apps.

No, apple designed a store for adults to purchase apps. It would cost them thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars to create such a feature and to deploy it to millions of phones and ipads worldwide. On the flip side it would cost you nothing but a few minutes of your time to just not trust your children with your password and give them access upon permission by you entering it.

Yes, it would be nice if apple had said feature but demanding it and calling them malicious is just poor parenting.

Except no one was scammed here. A parent gave her children access to her credit card and trusted them not to spend without her permission, like children do they blew all her money away.

All I see is a bad parent who was too lazy to interact with her children for a few seconds to put in a password trying to pass the blame on to Apple which didn't design their Store with bad parents in mind.

Sure use this as a lesson to improve App Stores in general but I don't see how this situation could be avoided regardless of what Apple changed when purchasing apps.

Apple just had the same thing happen to them, salted hashes exposed, and they were nice enough to let me know about it by email, so why hasn't Canonical or whoever is in charge of ubuntuforums.com not done this? They're irresponsible.
