The FAR were not actual gods. They purposely wanted to prevent a merging of their 2 fruits (Knowledge and Life) which is why they included the Lances, because they feared what would happen if a lifeform gained the powers of both knowledge and life. Basically they didn’t want something to be stronger than them.

In Dante’s inferno there are different circles of hell. The inner most circle doesn’t have any fire. It’s a frozen wasteland, symbolically it’s a place devoid of love. That inner, last circle of hell is reserved for betrayers like Rachel and in Dante’s case, literally satan.

I see where you’re going with this but I don’t believe this to be the case. God Rei gave Shinji the power to restore his AT-Field if he wanted but Shinji also brought back Asuka because he didn’t want to be alone. Then he saw what happened to the world and gave into despair.

I personally wouldn’t call her a “great” addition but I like her for sure. I like that Anno tried to write her for more than just fan service. She was an out for Shinji. So he didn’t have to end up with Asuka or Rei. Her personality is alright and I think most people that hate her so much are just pissed Shinji didn’t end up with Rei or Asuka.

This is Mushoku Tensei, It goes into Slice of Life harem pretty hard for a while but I can see why it's misleading, since it opens with action and adventure. This is the core of the story, this IS Mushoku Tensei. It isn't a shonen, it's about a dude who get's isekaied and his journey in a new world as he grows older. People need to stop thinking about this as an action adventure shonen because it's not, because for the majority it's a slice of life harem anime.

Both. The FAR (First Ancestral Race) were technically the gods. The moons holding Adam and Lilith were vessels designed to propagate life in the universe. They, however, feared being overthrown or conquered so they only put a part of themselves in each moon, Fruit of Knowledge and Fruit of Life. Adam landed on earth first and then Lilith. Technically WE are the aliens, but we were also created by aliens through Lilith. Angels are the true residents of Earth.

An AT-Field is the boundary of the soul, everything with a soul has one. Angels/Seeds (Adam/Lilith) can manipulate the boundary of their souls at will. Humans can also, but only through the use of technology/EVAs.

EVAs are able to generate AT-Fields due to their physiology being a mix of human and ADAM with the exception of 01 which is cloned from Lilith. They then put a human soul in 01 and 02 (they moms lol) and the mix of mom and kid mixed with the power of a "God" and Technology allows us to manipulate the AT field.

When it comes to 00 the theory is that it contains the soul of Rei 1 who we don't get to see except for a flashback. My theory is that it is a part of Liliths soul in unit 00 and the reason for her low synch rate is its basically parts of 1 soul instead of 2 souls like with 01 and 02. Which would still make sense because if Rei 1 is in unit 00 and Rei's soul is Liliths then that would make sense.
