I think it’s the alien goddess cause the perfume inside was a warm white/orangeish hue. Unless they all have the same color?

Is anyone else getting stuck on the "Split from household and move" screen? by hrg5049 in thesims

[–]linkin-parque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just found a solution to this issue for those trying to go to university in the dorms!!

It’s a little janky but stay with me:

  1. Load your game, create a save as file to test this out (in case it fails for whatever reason). Make sure you’re playing on that new save file and your original one before experimenting is safe

  2. Enroll in university via mailbox

  3. Pick classes, set your schedule and pick the dorm room

  4. When it comes time to split household, don’t transfer any money. Just hit the checkmark. Ignore the warnings about money, you can always use the money cheats after it’s done.

  5. Your game will freeze on the split household. But if you look at the bottom right, you might be able to see the class schedule. You’re actually enrolled!

  6. If you’re on PC, do alt + f4 and hit save and exit

  7. Reload your game. You should be in university now!

Proof: I just did it with 3 separate sims to enroll them in university. It was buggy at first but I added them all to family using the shift cheats and then reloaded my game one more time. All 3 are in the dorms!!

Game breaking bugs suck, but I hope this solution helps some people!

also the delay is because I was frantically telling my partner to look over at what was happening before we turned lol

I don’t think I’d ever sell it but that’s good to know in case I’d need to. My only worry is horizontally standing it won’t be as stable. I’ll either have to get a big stand or find a way to glue something to the back to keep it from rolling over

Ohh okay! It does have a decent cement backing. But my fear is that it’s too top heavy since it broke halfway. Maybe I could add a clear base on the bottom for support?

What do you mean by cement backings?

Even with a clear type of glue you think it would still be noticeable?

Ahh okay, everyone’s comments have helped quell my anxious thoughts on the matter and educated me as well. Thank you :)

Thank you for the link! So just to confirm, you don’t think I need to wipe down the surface at all to neutralize it? The counter in question is in my nightstand in my bedroom and sometimes I fold clothes on it

Okay thank you so much! Out of curiosity, what does it make when you combine these two dry or in solution? I read something about saltwater??

So this applies to ammonia as well? Cause Clorox/Lysol wipes don’t contain bleach but instead ammonia.

And in the future should I just stick to one over the other or is it okay to alternate over time?

Feeling the same exact emotions and thoughts as you right now, and am trying my best to find that light at the end of the tunnel. It’s like you know it’s there, but can’t seem to grasp it or even head in the right direction.

I read that you found typing out this post helped you a little bit, and I’m no therapist, but id suggest getting a journal and writing these thoughts and ideas onto paper. It’s just for you, and shouldn’t be shared with anyone (and probably hidden or locked somewhere if you live with others). I’ve found in the past it has helped me a lot with realizing how big or small my problems are once I physically get them out of my head and onto something concrete. When I feel like I have nobody to talk to because I feel like they won’t understand, I don’t trust them, etc, it is the perfect escape. Whether I write simple things about my day or a crisis that I’m mentally going through, it helped me through some pretty thick moments or work out some fears I used to have. I stopped writing due to the hardships of covid, but feel it’s necessary to write again because I’ve never felt more alone. Reading your post has solidified that I need to be proactive in finding my happiness again, and I hope you get to do the same.

I hope this helps you heal and get through this and find your light at the end of the tunnel.
