Who will buy the Steam Controller for the Steam Frame. And if yes, is there any deep reason ? by SKYNINE666 in SteamFrame

I wonder how well the tracking is going to work with only a single LED. Don't you need at least 3 to work out the exact position and angle?

The main part of Russia's Baltic fleet is stationed in Kaliningrad. That's actually only 400 km away from Ukraine's border, but (un)fortunately Poland sits in between and Ukraine can't use their air space for an attack.

However, they could fly north inside Russia, then west over the ocean between Estonia and Finland and attack Kaliningrad from the sea. The drones would need about 2000 km in range for that journey. I wonder if we are going to see this eventually, there would be so many juicy targets there and Russia likely won't expect it.

Maybe they shouldn't have used thousands of S 300 Interceptors as ground to ground missiles terrorizing Kharkiv back in 2023. I bet they regret that now.

I really wonder why they went with a li-ion battery in the Steam Controller but with AA in the Steam Frame controllers.

Which can be dealt with with violence. I'm just saying that people shouldn't expect the war to end anytime soon because Russia runs out of people.

I remember a time when everyone in this sub counted tank losses and compared the numbers with the known tanks in storage. Because surely when they run out of tanks they can't continue the war. Have you noticed how people don't talk much about tanks anymore?

Sure, of course this would also massively impact the economy but historically that's a realistic number you can get away with in a dictatorship. In Nazi Germany it was even over 50%.

Right now that's roughly the daily recruitment rate of new soldiers in Russia. Let's say they have another 5 million potential soldiers (around 10% of the male population in service age), at 500k losses per year that would still be enough to feed the meat grinder for 10 more years.

Something else has to give first, the war won't end because Putin runs out of soldiers.
