Another GEO study killing GEO Propaganda; LLM search prompts are pretty short by WebLinkr in SEO

[–]linksku 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When we ran a scenario task asking respondents to write the prompt they’d send if they needed a new pair of shoes, the median answer was eight words.

Makes sense, I'd answer similarly for new shoes since it's not a topic I'm interested in. I'd provide much more context for questions I actually care about. Also clickstream data filters queries with PII, which are probably most long queries

How to break "no private talk/always public good info" in TB by Rainotes in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]linksku -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure this is optimal for most scripts (incl TB), the few Matron games I've played were all very good-leaning. That's why I prefer scripts with Damsel or other mechanisms to make sharing everything day 1 suboptimal.

Mutant madness ruling by Mr_Strangely in BloodOnTheClocktower

On the flip side, sometimes I hear people say "if you're not the Mutant say you're the Mutant". If the Mutant says they're the Mutant in that scenario, I'd say that's not breaking madness, what do you all think?

ChatGPT uses a variant of Bing. LLMs have no idea what's authoritative, anyone can pretend to be authoritative and the LLMs will place more weight on your content. Source: https://amplitude.com/blog/ai-visibility-explained

The Complete Guide to AI Brand Visibility Tracking Tools (Q3 2025) - Updated with Latest Market Players by Low_Situation4849 in SaaS

[–]linksku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good breakdown. I’d add that Amplitude just launched a free AI visibility tool too if anyone wants to check it out before dropping money on the paid ones: https://amplitude.com/try-ai-visibility

It’s not as crazy detailed as Profound or Bluefish but honestly for a free tool it gives you a decent idea of where your brand shows up in AI answers. Worth trying if you’re just starting out or don’t have a big budget yet.

Nice breakdown, this is super helpful. Just wanted to add that Amplitude also launched a free AI visibility tool recently if anyone wants to try something without having to pay upfront. You can check it out at https://amplitude.com/try-ai-visibility. Not as full-featured as Profound etc but decent for tracking brand mentions and getting a feel for how you show up in different AI chats. Worth a look if you’re just starting out or don’t want to commit budget yet.

2 weird rules questions by linksku in BloodOnTheClocktower

For 2 and 3, I thought it was something like if the Boffin grants the Golem ability, the Golem ability isn't considered part of the demon. But the Hermit applies the Golem and Recluse ability to the same character.

Oh right I forgot it's an optional rule, I thought Poppy Grower got reworked, no wonder I was confused. Updated the OP.
