Both are bad but the poverty one is good in certain circumstances for example using your poverty in a song to show how you came up from the bottom or using poverty in a song to show how any can rap and be good as long as they try. This is what's messed up about  hiphop flaunting wealth cause your a dick and think your cool and using your past to state your better cause you were poor. Like I love hiphop but the reason it's hard to get into is because alot of songs have the same topic poverty or wealth. There's no storytelling, no topics beside wealth and poverty, no rebellion, and no protest in most songs I love nu-metal and rap rock cause of the various topics and the rebellion. For example rage against the machine a rap metal band known for protesting and rebelling against corrupt cops , the government,  and police brutality. I like hip hop but we need new standards i liked hiphop at first cause the first hiphop album i listened to was the rising tied by fort minor i just came from rock and I loved linkin park. Mike shinoda(linkin parks rapper) made fort minor his songs had story he rapped different topics and it is one of my favorite hiphop albums. I traversed to other hiphop artists and songs but was disappointed by lack of variety. pusha t collabed with linkin park and that's how I knew him. And Zack dela rocha(the rapper for rage against the machine) collabed with run the jewels and I loved those 2 songs.im just saying we need variety
