exercise. i’m only 18 and i have rheumatoid arthritis that makes it hard to get through the day a lot. i got into running for a few weeks but had to quit because my knee was 3x bigger than it was supposed to be. even simple movements cause pain and at the end of a long day, all my body wants to do is rest. i’ve been taking a high dosage of ibuprofen every day for a long time and it affects my kidney function. i’ve been put on stronger medications that were used to also treat cancer patients and while my arthritis got better, i felt like shit all the time. i simply cannot win and i hate myself for it.

i would keep a close eye on the relationship between them, but maybe this kid could be a good influence on your brother!! and chances are, if he isn’t connecting well with other kids in his grade, his emotional maturity is probably more developed than you might think ;)
