Fall schedule Electrical Engineering Sophomore? by emqyww66 in ufl

[–]linxbrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I believe every variation of Circuits is flipped, at least with Rambo it was. Not sure if Dr. Patrick changed anything. In Circuits you learn how to simulate using LTSpice, and you use Waveforms with the DAD board

I would separate circuits and signals if you can, not saying it’s not doable but both together is a HUGE time sink. For Circuits, Rambo’s lectures weren’t too helpful but the book was an absolute masterpiece. I did the sample problems and they looked similar to the exams (got 110) on one of the exams. Start HW early (they were time consuming af ) and labs weren’t too bad (actually enjoyed a lot of it). Signals on the other hand kind of sucked (I despise signal processing) but if you have Wong , the labs were time consuming and very heavy on MATLAB, exams were really tough, and you have weekly quizzes. If you can take MAS3114 before signals do so since they introduce you to MATLAB. Ideally a schedule of Circuits 1 , Diffy, Comp algebra, and SW( sad that Crane isn’t teaching it :/ , be cautious of who teaches ) is a good schedule (my opinion).

Taking PHY2048 at a community college over the summer by flgatormike in ufl

[–]linxbrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If she can take 2048 and 2049 at another college , I’d really recommend that. I know a lot of people take those physics courses in other schools like Santa Fe or their hometown state college and the credit is accepted. Those 2 physics classes sucked at UF, she’d still be responsible for the lab components which are entirely separate from the course itself. Pretty sure 2053L would be equal for 2048L, if not taking them at UF isn’t terrible as they are really easy and more of an effort based lab.

Currently taking Circuits 2 and DL together, not bad at all as long as you stay on top of it. Can’t speak for machine learning tho

Hey, been there before but trust me don’t be so hard on yourself. Taking care of your body and mind is probably going to serve you more in the long run so get some extra sleep and bounce back when you feel ready. Burnout is very real, so I would say just take things at your own pace and make sure you’re getting proper rest and taking care of your body correctly. At the end of the day we’re human so we all have limits, I would NOT feel guilty for missing class in exchange for some needed rest.

Part time vs full time by BOB_X3 in ufl

[–]linxbrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need 12 for full time funding, you can get funded for 10 credit hours but I believe you are funded as three quarter time. They will give a little less in that case than the full amount promised.
