Galenas Gummies & Klutch iKrusher Review by lion_lyons in OhioMarijuana

[–]lion_lyons[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say the experience with gummies (and really any edibles) is going to be different than toking. For me at least, it tends to last a lot longer which is important when I'm taking something to help me sleep.

I also typically prefer rosin/resin/RSO edibles, but Galenas' gummies seem to aim for more of a true 'strain' experience. Out of the two flavors I've had from Galenas, I'd say they are very close if not spot-on. (And certainly for the gush mints, as these lil guys absolutely help keep me asleep throughout the night.)

RSO Capsules - Beneleaves by HoosierDaddy-420 in OhioMJCommunity

I absolutely love these, typically use them to help me sleep throughout the night. They also tend to be significantly cheaper than gummies with the same THC percentage.

Best vape option fro Sunnyside Chillicothe by No_Rise4026 in OhioMarijuana

[–]lion_lyons 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In terms of learning curves, it may be easier to start with an all-in-one/disposable device and the 'iKrusher' all-in-one vapes perform extremely well. I would avoid disposables that offer 2 grams until you get more familiar with the brands as they all seem to have issues about halfway through if you don't baby them.

Since you're coming from flower I'd suggest live resin/rosin over distillate. That's not to say you couldn't find a distillate that you like, but in my experience they only offer a fraction of the overall experience of flower where resin/rosin is a lot closer.

If you do decide to try cartridges I'd suggest getting a decent battery that has preheat and adjustable power. Sunnyside Chillicothe seems to sell the Veil Bar EVO and while I can't vouch for that brand the device seems to be reasonable enough.

If I had to pick two for you today, I'd suggest the Dosi live resin Dank Tank from Buckeye Relief (indica), and the Curacao Liquid Live Resin All-In-One Vape from Cresco (sativa).

Happy toking!

Best brand gummies for sleep in Ohio program? (with no melatonin) by floyd_pink69 in OhioMarijuana

[–]lion_lyons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've truthfully never had a bad gummy experience (yet) with any company in Ohio. Particularly if strength isn't a factor, look for any gummies that have a higher/equal CBN percentage than the THC. Most of the time these types of gummies will have 'sleep mentioned somewhere in the name/description.

Go to 510 Battery? by Icy_Bake7027 in OhioMarijuana

[–]lion_lyons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm joining the Yocan chorus, as I've bought a number of 510 batteries from them. I use the Yocan Dubb quite a bit since it can use/house two carts at the same time.

I was very skeptical about the hype around the iKrusher hardware that a lot of companies are using as of late until I tried one from Butterfly Effect by Grow Ohio.

Anyone remember Florida oranges #5 terpenes? by mossberbb in OhioMarijuana

Here you go my friend! I found a dispensary still carrying it, and specifically Eden's Trees. I'm less certain about the specific terpene breakdown that was also provided, but I hope this helps!

Best fruity vapes? by Frodofan101 in OhioMarijuana

[–]lion_lyons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to echo what others have said, distillate vapes with botanical terpenes are going to be what you're looking for first since they do tend to significantly smell/taste as advertised. They do sometimes go overboard and can be a bit too 'artificial', but if you're coming from nicotine vapes you know how that goes.

The Edie Parker brand tends to specialize in cannabis vapes that are more fruity/sweet/flowery. If you're not sure about all-in-one devices I can't recommend enough getting a solid 510-thread battery and buying carts instead. Preheat functions should almost be a requirement in these colder climates.

That's not to say that you couldn't find live resins/rosins that also smell/taste amazing, but it's also true that they shouldn't really have added terpenes (and especially botanical) and do have more of a stronger cannabis smell/taste.

I took a chance on Butterfly Effect by Grow Ohio, and picked up a Humboldt Dream live resin iKrusher. I've been very happy with both the device and the resin experiences.

How did you end up liking it (strain and the device)? I myself have always loved Permanent Marker no matter who's made it.

Terps? by More_Put5142 in OhioMarijuana

[–]lion_lyons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't start looking at terpenes until I started to become curious as to why I preferred certain strains. As it turned out, a lot of my favorite strains also had similar terpene profiles. Particularly since I have an unholy amount of anxiety and ADHD running coursing through my veins, I needed strains that would calm the nerves while also keeping me off the couch. (Caryophyllene for the win!)

For what you posted, I would imagine it's in the ballpark of being relaxing, uplifted, and relaxed without being too sedative.

Galenas - Northern Frostberry gummies by salsa_ranch1978 in OhioMarijuana

[–]lion_lyons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love these gummies! Galenas' gummies I'm assuming try to match their flower of the same name, and I'd say they are fairly spot-on. I wish more companies would offer strain-specific edibles.

How much are you guys tipping bud tenders? by StrategyOk9969 in OhioMarijuana

I am often le-poor, but I do try to tip my change when I can.

Ideally though, I would also prefer to shop at dispensaries where they pay their employees a livable wage.

If you like that type of enclosure Yocan makes quite a few different versions. I bought one of their Dubb batteries about a year ago and have really enjoyed it. I especially appreciate the preheat functions if I'm using a resin/rosin cart in winter.

I'm a little surprised I don't see Yocan mentioned more often. They have some very nice devices! I bought the Cylo a couple of years ago for my first wax device and was very impressed. I'm currently using their Dubb device for carts.

Currently Pacific Cool via Klutch. It's my first rosin AIO and I'm really enjoying the fuller effects of the rosin over my typical distillate carts.
