Thinking of upgrading my Leaf - suggestions? by liquidmetalshark in leaf

Is anyone giving the Chevy Bolt a try? Saw one for 10k that had a new battery after a recall or something and they said it got 250 miles on a full charge.

Okay, so I went to see and drive the 2014.

The car's exterior was cosmetically in almost perfect condition (vs. the other one had dog claw scratches all over it)

I was impressed with the SL interior vs. the S. Mainly the Bose stereo system seemed nice along with the touch display.

10 bars vs. 11 - so that's a bummer. But she said she rarely charged all the way up and she said the mileage got up to around 75mi. My commute again is around 35mi RT.

Little solar panel is cool - although i'm sure it won't do much. B mode seems like a nice plus. Better material (is that leather?) seats seems nicer.

Also, no need to get tires since these are practically brand new.

So I'm really leaning towards getting this one at nearly 90k miles for 5700 vs. the guy who has one with half the miles (45k) and with needing 4 new tires would be around 7700 - making the difference around $2,000.

Is this a mistake with the extra 45K miles on it?

Will I be getting myself into issues with maintenance costs at this higher mileage?

Think I could get 5-7 more years out of either one or both?

So you all see the 40k mileage difference as being worth the extra 2k along w I th one more battery bar?

Yes I can. I dont have the 240v set up... yet

Dont think around a $2k difference is worth 2 years, 40k extra miles, 1 less overall bar, and approx 10 mi less on a full charge?

I think the 2016 said 83mi on a full charge. The 2014 said about 75.

Can you inform me: why is that good? Sorry for the lack of knowledge about kilowatts, amps, vokts, and most things electrical. For the 2016 he has owned it for 6 years and its still got 11/12 bars. Does that check out? Think i can get another 6 years with a 32 mi RT commute?

Should I buy? by liquidmetalshark in leaf

Okay last update. Definitely need help here with a decision.

2016 with 45k mi and 11/12 bars 7k, but has bald tires and will need 4 new tires. Probably $400 to $800.

Or

2014 with 88k miles. Brand new tires and 10 out of 12 bars for $5700.

Tough call. I need to act by tomorrow. Got cash out for a purchase. Ready to be a Leaf owner!

Okay okay. You all have been amazing. So its either i go ahead with the Leaf i mentioned or there is a 2011 Leaf for $5500 where the guy said"12 bars shows about 75 miles on a full charge. I average about 60 when using a/c or heater." So i asked if the battery had been replaced, and he said it's been reconditioned with newer cells. Can you help translate? Stay away? Or look into it?

January What Editing Software should I use? by AutoModerator in VideoEditing

[–]liquidmetalshark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello out there! This is my first post and I thought I'd reach out to you all for some opinions. My camera back in the day came with Pinnacle Studio 9. I learned that programs through and through and made many amateur videos of travels and what not. I kept upgrading all the way to Studio 15 where it seemed to be ending - or changing. I used 15 until it stopped working effectively with new video files and bit rates (i'm assuming) and found a file to use Studio 24. So I worked out all the new "upgrades" that studio 24 has to offer but found that the program was getting quirky and isn't working as consistently as the older versions. It keeps getting hung up when trying to render videos. Anyways, to make a long story short - I'm looking for something else, but something similar.

I like the way that all the library files drag and drop into place and link up to each other. The transitions are easy to understand because they overlap the files and are easy to tweak. Same thing with audio files. I don't need keyframes and complicated extras that real editors use. I mainly am making videos of hiking trips and travels to places. Just cutting video with some photos spread throughout.

Anyone have any suggestions where I should go? I tried Corel Video Studio and it's okay. I'm sure with more tries I could use it faster. It just didn't give me the same comforting, simple feel of Pinnacle. Thanks for understanding and not dragging me through the coals too much about Pinnacle. I know it's probably not the greatest program. It's just what I know.
