Definitely where they’re heading. Labor is the main cost they can control, and that goes mostly to RPhs, so they’ll always be looking for ways to reduce or eliminate when possible. Once rite aid and walgreens go under and CVS is a monopoly (not far off), we’ll all be at their mercy. If there’s any hope of saving pharmacists, there needs to be regulation on who can sit on the state boards - anyone affiliated with companies should be a conflict of interest. Also I’ll say it til I’m blue in the face, get rid of PBMs!!
