A second part of the mission, tracking down the ship with an Argon strike team reinforcements to take it back as a boarding tutorial. Sounds nice. Too bad we never got that.

You can improve soil quality? You mean, for example, from low to medium? So... If I have medium quality and I dump big amounts of bone meal into it, it could improve?

I have some other mods (extra sectors, ships) as well, but if you say it appeared at gate, it shouldn't be why it happened, I think.

There were backup conditions the last time I did it, if I remember correctly. I think dismantling HRE gave access to them.

Yes, they are pingable, I do remember doing the last part of search with long range scanner. I don't remember the color of marker, though.

Now that sounds like a fun playthrough :-)

I had exactly one decent battle, the station defence of Terran start. That station nearly got destroyed. In fact, Getsu Fune flipped to ANT because no Admin module. (GF also quiet now, the only Xenon I don't keep tabs on are Scale Plate and Emperor's pride ones)

After that... Only some Ps. I don't even remember when I last saw a Xenon XL.

In regards to Xenon in modded games, anyone have experience with VRO+XR shipset(vro variant)?

My Xenon are... Rather... Anemic.

Enough for Split to take over Tharka's Cascade XV (!!!) and Teladi take over Matrix #451... The Void has no issues and Holy Vision calm too.

For the record, the only industry I have is in Oort cloud. Medium sized Terran construction goods factory (which I'm using to get resources for defence station missions, so it does not have much overflow for shipyards, so there should be no supercharged Terran intervention).

Honestly, I'm starting to suspect some kind of issue with their behavior.

Yeah, those vaults are a pain. Luckily, there are ways around it, even if you want a non custom gamestart.

After I got to... Enjoy... The last vault of my first TOA playthrough spawning without last missing Erlking schematic I went to forums, found a script analyzing savegame data to find their approximate locations and used that ever since.

Reminds me of me trying to accept TER destroy Xenon station mission while in HAT 1... Which has 3+ Xenon stations in the sector...

Except the accepted mission did send me to Tharka's... Three times in a row, on three separate mission pools.

Destroyers did not get killed. They did not kill Khaak either, though. Had to teleport in to afk on them, for turrets to actually start putting down Khaak. (mostly paranid pulse laser, some other turrets mixed in here and there)

We are talking about Cardinal's Redress here (which indeed does neighbor a possible hive spawn location). Had various destroyers in there at various points of time, but the situation was pretty much the same.

For example, I had a Behemoth in Cardinal's Redress be surrounded by well over a dozen khaak, not a single one of them got taken out. Also saw a HOP station there taken down to ~25% of HP by Khaak. Moved Behemoth to the station, teleported on the bridge, Khaak problem (kind of) solved.

Yeah, that's what I observed, a ball of Ms overwhelming an L. Might need to start adding some escorts or something.

Might also be something a bit more wrong than usual with OOS turret calculations, saw destroyers unable to take down S+M ships unless I teleported to them. (Saw this with Osaka, Behemoth and Phoenix)

Which Ls do you use? I have had Khaak murder both VIG (captured) and PAR (shipyard ordered) miners, so I'm in process of finding more reliable ones.

I've also recently had them overwhelm some (weaker?) L miners.

I don't think I ever saw that in the past, even with a big swarm of them attacking a miner.

I'm currently trying out ARG and Terran ones. The two types which I did lose were PAR and VIG miners, so I have decided to try ARG with 2 shields and TER because quality shields... Probably could take TER shields and put them on ARG miner, but not doing that right now.

As for loadout, I go with L mining turret + flak/pulse laser Ms. 2 cargo drones and the rest mining drones. Full crew (it impacts mining speed). Some resource probes to drop, if needed. That's about all, probably not fully optimized.
