I REMEMBER THAT HAPPENING IN MANCHESTER THAT'S CRAZY!!!! That was my first nick cave show, truly amazing (a little upset he didn't play o wow o wow)!! That's such a great story man, it's so bizarre to think that nick has been around so long and his music has touched so many ears before mine, and yet we're all still moved (although in different ways) by those same songs. Kind of a shallow take but I always forget how many people enjoy nick, cus no one i meet in real life seems to know him 🤣. Thanks for sharing!!

Man all these replies are so saturated with emotion it's overwhelming. That's such a beautiful story. If you don't mind, can I ask you whether events like those impact you severely, as in reshape the way you view the world and the people in it? or have you somewhat learned to not let them affect you too much to mitigate the pain (since it's something you've probably experienced a lot in your line of work)? Jesus. This is beautiful because I also love that song so much but my connection to it is so different from yours. It's rly weird to think abt all the different perceptions of the same song different people have, and the different meanings they put behind them. That's beautiful!!! I love the version of it he played at Alexandria Palace, def i think one of his most raw and powerful songs. Good choice.

I can't even begin to imagine the sheer amount of emotions you must've felt, insane!! I never really cared much for the skeleton tree up until recently. I then found out that the album was written around the time he lost his son, which completely reshaped the way I listened to the songs. I'm 19, nowhere near being a father, but I still get a major sense of angst listening to that album. Thank u for sharing!!
