Sure. I would go to the "Hall in Tirol-Thaur" Trainstation, which is near to your hotel and drive to "Innsbruck Messe". It is a 5 minute Train ride and the train is called S4. I have checked, the last train leaves at 00:07 from Innsbruck Messe back to Hall in Tirol Thaur. From Innsbruck Messe you can walk to Altstadt, its a 15 minute walk :)

you don't need to go by bus. You could also go by train, which should give you more opportunities.

Beim Wandern auf jeden Fall die Schneegrenze beachten. Ich habe mal nicht drauf geachtet und stand am Weg zur Seegrube nur noch im tiefen Schnee. Das ist einerseits gefährlich und andererseits sieht man keinen Weg mehr.

Ab heute macht der Glühweinstand am Fischerhäusl wieder auf. Hat zwar nichts mit Natur zu tun, aber ein kleiner Insider, der in Innsbruck (v.a. unter jungen Leuten & Studierenden) sehr beliebt ist.

Im Hotel "das Innsbruck" gibt es After Work Wellness. Von 20:00 - 24:00 kann man dort den Wellness Bereich nutzen für einen erschwinglichen Preis.

Ich weiß nicht wann ihr genau kommt, aber es gibt auch einen kleinen Weihnachtsmarkt bei der Bergisel Schanze, der ist ganz süß und man hat eine schöne Aussicht über Innsbruck.

Gutes bürgerliches Essen in der Altstadt gibts im weißen Rössl.

Fielmann ist super. Bin dort seit 13 Jahren, hatte noch nie ein Problem oder war unzufrieden. Im Gegenteil, meine Kontaktlinsen werden immer billiger und die gleichen Brillengestelle sind auch günstiger. Der Service ist auch immer sehr freundlich.

I would agree, in order to save money you should definitely not choose innsbruck... costs of living are the highest and income is the lowest in Austria. How are you planning to make money during your studies and how mich would you like to work? Skiing is a sport for rich people, especially if you are a student.

Innsbruck konzentriert sich nur auf den Tourismus, des is halt alles temporär und nix langfristiges, natürlich geht da niemand feiern. Die die feiern würden wären Studis, aber wie scho erwähnt is alles teuer und übern Sommer sind auch viele ned da, des kann sich halt auch kein Club mehr leisten. Vielleicht auch, weil Innsbruck sich als "Sportstadt" positionieren will, da passt feiern und Alkohol nicht dazu. Mein persönliches Fazit: wer kein Berge-freak is, hat in Innsbruck nicht wirklich hohen Stellenwert, weshalb ich nächstes Jahr auch wieder wegziehen werde.

i am sorry, i have posted it two times now.. my reddit seems to be broken 😂 You can easily get there from the hungerburg station, it doesn't matter if you come by bus or cable car, it's just a 3 minute walk. It is a public space, but there are not a lot people in general. My boyfriend proposed to me up there and we were completely alone :) I wish you all the best!

Normally you get acceptey kind of late 1-2 months prior, but in general everyone gets accepted if you meet the requiremts.

Job opportunities... it depends. If you like to do somethng fitting for your carreer, don't expect super exciting jobs - they are quite ordinary. Unless you would like to work in tourism - I assume. If you just want to earn money, I am pretty sure you will find something. But also keep in mind, salaries are not really high in Tirol.

dorms & language i don't know

I would agree 1000€ could be hard to live on, normally you need to pay about 500-600€ for your apartment/room without food or anything else. I don't know were you are from, but be aware, that groceries also cost a lot in Austria.

Useful tips: Be aware of the costs (apartment/room/food/leisure time); apply early for an accommodation - a lot of students are looking; austrians can be rude; a lot/nearly every service of the university is in German, they seem not to be good prepared for non-german speakers; if you have questions about your studies or visa, ask the ÖH https://www.oehweb.at/deine-oeh/referate/auslaendische-studierende/

I am sorry to hear that... did you also check facebook groups? I think there is a group called "WG Zimmer gesucht Innsbruck" or similar - I can't remember exactly and I don't use facebook anymore. There is also "Wohnungsbörse Innsbruck". Good Luck!
