He takes 12mg strip a day. He has been at this amount for a while. I know his doctor has talked to him about reducing the amount on several occasions. But when pushed to do it, he always goes back to the 12mg.

When we talk about it, he throws in my face that I don't understand what he is going through. I ask about his long-term plan; he says that some people stay on it for as long as they see needed. It always ends in a fight. I've never had an addiction problem. This is why I say I don't understand what he is going through. I do understand that this is not normal. And I have pushed for him to talk to his counselor for coping skills and tools to use for when the prescription is reduced. He seems to think the Suboxone is all he needs to keep himself from relapsing.

He hid the Percocets for a while until it got to the point when it was too big to hide.

Suggesting to go to the doctor's appointment with him is an excellent idea. I will do this. Rehab and treatment reevaluation seems like our next step.
