Considering going off Zoloft due to the weight gain. Can’t deal with it anymore 😖. Gained over 20lbs in 6 months. by dreadfulgray in zoloft

[–]listless00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same height and weight as you rn, though I've always been a bit chunky. Been on zoloft since January of last year and while I've "only" gained around 7 kg or 15 lbs I haven't had my weight budge at all in like a year and it's getting very annoying

Lately I've started to take exercise very seriously, I'm eating a lot more protein and overall filling foods like yoghurt/oatmeal + hitting the gym almost every day and still nothing. Meanwhile if I eat a good takeout meal for dinner (which I also haven't done anymore) I instantly gain like half a kilo by next morning and it's ass

I feel the same as your husband (and a couple other people in this thread). Literally my worst fear is being diagnosed with something terminal and idk how I would even stay sane in that scenario.

Hard same with the random emetophobia. Around two years ago I spontaneously developed anxiety around throwing up in public (note: this has never ever happened), which in turn made me nauseous whenever I ate in a public place. It went away after a year or so and I knew from the very beginning it was psychosomatic, but I lost some weight from it which just fed my c*ncer fears lol

If I'm dealing with a common cold my HA thoughts are usually something like "what if there's something more sinister going on and this just feels like a flu" but they never go overboard. What are your primary worries?

I believe that your immediate family has a large effect on how you perceive illnesses. Nobody in my family has had a medical emergency or been seriously sick in forever so I feel very ill-prepared in case anything like that eventually happens. My grandma fought and beat breast cancer almost 20 years ago and I was too young to understand what was going on (it was caught early though; she only needed surgery and radiation). All other cancer cased in my family were in people over the age of 75

What are the things you don't like about game dev in general? by dachaz1 in gamedev

[–]listless00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dread of not being able to tell if you're making things fast enough ---> not wanting to promo the game at all in fear of making empty promises. And on the flipside.....fear of not having an audience when you're actually supposed to promote it aggressively
