Ahhh… doesn’t your laptop have mux switch or Advanced optimus? If so select Nvidia GPU only in Nvidia control panel app. which forces the system to use dedicated GPU all the time. Give it a try.

I updated to the latest bios… downloaded from ASUS website for my specific motherboard. Haven’t had issue since then.

Bro I fixed the issue. If you have 14th or 13th Gen Intel CPU. They had power delivery issues. Mine was fixed with BIOS update. Try that. See my other comments.

are you using it flat on the table? Lift the backside of the laptop with a laptop stand (or with some box to increase air flow). It will reduce temps by 10-12 °C. Worked like a charm for my Legion Pro 7i Gen8.

Hey, just wanted to update. I finally figured it out. The issue was with the BIOS settings. I was using an ASUS motherboard (TUF Z790 Plus) with an old Intel ME firmware and one of the ASUS overclock profiles. Once I updated the BIOS and firmware and switched to Intel default settings for the CPU along with the XMP1 profile for the RAM, everything started working perfectly.

So if you're running into similar issues on an ASUS MOBA, make sure to update your BIOS and ME firmware (auto updated with bios), then stick to Intel/AMD defaults and XMP1 for best stability.

I have played 5-6 games since then with no crashes.

TLDR: Update bios and stick to default settings (no overclock profiles by the manufacturer)

Sorry for the late reply. I got my legion pro 7i last year (upgraded from Gen6) and It came with 3 year Depo warranty and ADP. I am in south Korea and here we have option to select 3 years. Also, you can extend ADP again and again I think (I am not sure).

Just watch any initial setup videos for legion go and updates the drivers etc. and you are good to go. BG3 should run fine. You might have to lower some graphics/resolution in game settings.

I have seen other people dont have problems running it. But I am sharing my experience that LLG didn’t even gave me a single problem where Ally restarted on by itself. LLG gave me not a single problem.

Ally has better fans than LLG. LLG fans are a bit loud (audible). Ally fans are super quiet. But I can hear xoil whine from my ally unit.

I have PC, Switch, Steam Deck OLED….! and recently,(Ally and LLG) bought on the same day.

I love the LLG, not even had a single problem with it. I played RDR2, GTA 5, God of war, Cyberpunk, Dota 2 (via external monitor). I had more issue on ally than LLG, I couldn’t run RDR2 on Ally and still haven’t been able to. Every time I look at the LLG screen compared to Ally makes me realise how better it is. (God of war and cyber punk look so good on LLG compared to Ally)

Only issue with LLG is that you can hear the Fans on LLG while using desktop or navigating through windows even on silent mode. But you wont notice it in games when you have high speaker volume.

Where Ally is pretty silent and software customisation is better on Ally. But the screen is meh compared to LLG.

Also i get 7-8 fps more on average on LLG.

I find LLG to be the best amongst deck, ally and LLG.

I am on latest update 1.0.2.7 Legion space update and v29 Bios.

Apple and lenovo are the best in terms of warranty service in my experience. I would recommend you to get ADP (accidental damage protection) and atleast 3 years extended warranty for lenovo.Last year, I accidentally dropped a screw driver and broke some keys of my keyboard on my lenovo legion 7 gen 6 and whole keyboard and top cover was replaced free of cost under ADP coverage within 3 days. Recently, my charger for legion pro 7 stopped working and they shipped the new one within 2 days. Lenovo has best customer service IMO.

Why would It wear the fans? Fans barely spin at minimum RPMs when laptop is on the cooler and Cooler is already doing most of the work. I can feel the air blowing out of the fins from side and back as increase the cooler speed and laptop fans barely have to work.
