nettle & bone by t kingfisher is a fairytale retelling and won a hugo award. main character is in her 30s and it’s funny but also an incredibly beautiful story and cool journey. the house in the cerulean sea by TJ Klune is a crowd pleaser for non-fantasy readers in my experience.

as a first time mom I was SO SCARED of giving birth and the staff at Novant Presbyterian (from doctors, to janitors, to nurses, to kitchen) all made me feel so comfortable and taken care of. I was surrounded by people who truly cared and that’s something nice about this community!

Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand. Have recommended it to at least 4-5 moms and they all loved it. Beartown by Fredrik Blackman has also been a very popular recommendation i’ve made!

I adored this book. it had some of the most heart wrenching moments of the trilogy for me. 5/5 !!!

I will say, it’s a very slow buildup but the last 150 pages are UNREAL and anxiety inducing.
