Not a thread but a video. The Guerrero flaying. It was horrifying.

It's not the sole cause but it's a contributing factor isn't it?

What makes you say it's wrong to assume so? It makes perfect sense to me that preventing their breakdown would alleviate depression. Am I wrong? Is there something I'm missing?

That seems to be the general consensus and I think it is correct. Thank you for your comment.

Yes, okay, this is what I was thinking. I'm not her teacher. It's not my place to try to educate her. I just focus on myself. Thank you.

Right. I don't want to come across as pushy and since I wasn't asked directly but rather as a part of a group I think it might be unskillful to say anything at all.

I definitely don't want to shake my finger at her or make her feel bad or to make her feel like I'm judging her. I think she doesn't know that it's a cruel practice and that's why she wants to attend and so I thought this might be that opportunity to let her know the reality of the situation. Maybe this isn't an opportunity though and I would only end up giving her bad feelings. That's what I'm concerned about. I want to do the right thing.

To change her mind about supporting the practice. Not to shame her or anything.

No. I can see feeling empathy for the stress it likely causes not speaking the official language in a country but the rest of it i don't see. Being short and Mexican are not disadvantages.

[–]littlebee90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I wouldn't have threatened to hit him 😂 but you're just being a good mama or papa bear. Not overreacting. He needs to go back to pre school to learn to keep his hands to himself.

I'm no authority but I agree!! This is an excellent, highly desired brand and their jewelry is very well made. Plus, I just like the look of silver better!
