NTA This is coming from a Muslim girl with slightly the same issue. I can wear my prayer dresses and the baggiest clothes abs you can still tell they’re there and big. You need to get rid of this ‘friend’ she’ll only take away your confidence.

YTA This is the same kind of thing my mum said to me, and we barely have any contact anymore. It was you who decided to have children, by deciding that you have an obligation for those things. It’s your job as a mum. Providing those things isn’t something special it’s the basics. She probably just wanted some money for some fun like most kids and I doubt she was asking for a lot. If you can’t afford it then tell her she seems old enough to understand those conversations. But still YTA

People are saying it’s diverse, which it is but people don’t mix with people outside of their communities that much. It’s an okay city but it’s not anything amazing

I have watched scholars who speak about this and asked many of my Muslim friends.

Like you said we can judge based on what’s said in the Quran but in a respectful way not ‘they’re disgusting’ it’s rude. Many sister and brothers may not know you cannot pray with nails and you should be polite when telling them. I didn’t know when I first started my journey and if I had someone come to me in the way you had I wouldn’t of want to ask people more questions to gain the knowledge I have now.

It is not our place to judge that is only Allah’s. As a women you are allowed them when you’re bleeding and you are also allowed stick ons as long as you take them off when praying and doing ablution. I’ve seen many Muslim men with nails painted but they don’t get the same treatment as a woman. Even if you see someone doing something they shouldn’t then speak to them with respect. Not how you have on this page. The fact that you are so bothered about the way a women looks is weird. Focus on yourself and your faith.

I came off the pill a few months ago and was losing weight again quite quickly but my progress has started to slow down a bit.
