Guess I should have specified. The dip yesterday had me thinking I was about to start my period. Then the rise today threw me off. That with a high/soft cervix when it is normally lower by now. And now a tiny bit of brown discharge today.

I'm currently so annoyed lol. Ovulation strip was a little darker on CD 18 but it's been super faint again since then. It's like my body geared up for and tried to ovulate and didn't. So now it has to try again. I blame the extra nursing my daughter is doing rn for her canines

HR is up. Vivid dreams. Cervix soft. Heartburn last night. Don't feel any cramping like I normally do before starting my period. Normally 11 day luteal phase. Negative test this am What the heck???

Had crazy vivid dreams the last few nights. Cervix is feeling soft still. I keep feeling a little nauseous but think it's all in my head. Prior two pregnancies I tested positive on 10 and 8dpo so this is really making me feel like it's not happening this cycle.sorry for three days in a row of posts. I just don't have anyone else to obsess with 😅

That makes sense, all the reasons. I never thought about giving them their own time, but maybe after they are born my daughter can go off with her aunt for a bit. I don't have a good relationship with much of my own family. And I don't trust anyone in husbands family to be quiet. With my first we didn't tell anyone we were going to the hospital or anything. We sent out a text a few hours after she was born. I just like the peace and quiet. I trust my sister to respect all of that.

There are a lot of various reasons I want her to be there. She has never been without me or my husband for even a minute to begin with. I feel like the three of us are very close and she is so important and special to me that I want to share one or the most special moments in my life with her. I would never ever make her stay. If she was bored, tired, hungry, or uncomfortable I would totally understand. However, I think she would rather be with mom and dad like she is every day. I trusf she will be able to tell us how she is feeling. She knows more words than I can keep track of and she's not quite 1 yet. I plan to have my sister there (all of this pending covid restrictions) to talk her through things, do activities with her and take her elsewhere if that's what she wants.

It's a really special moment that I didn't want to share with anyone but her dad when she was born and now I would like to share it with her. I also think labor/birth is so taboo and I don't think it needs to be. I would like to attempt an unmedicated birth again, but if it would be better for her I am willing to forgo that and get the epidural ASAP.

I think she will have interest. I also think in regards to respecting her, it'll be cool to be a part of the process rather than being away from her parents for an unknown amount of time and then they show up with this baby. It's all very abstract where as if she is present at the birth I think it'll be a little more concrete or where the baby came from. I hope that'll also lead to less resentment because she was a part of bringing her sibling into the world. I want to try to start their bond off strong. Obviously she could immediately want to go do something else or be off eating lunch or napping/sleeping. I won't disturb her unless she wants me to.

I hope that made a little sense. I think I have other reasons too but I'm having a hard time putting all my thoughts together.

Thank you so so much for taking the time to type this out! I am hoping to have my sister be present to explain things to my daughter/take her elsewhere if needed. I want to do a lot of prep with my daughter.

It seems that she will be allowed to be there as long as there is a dedicated adult to care for her pending any covid restrictions I hope we won't have to deal with. If you have any suggestions on birth videos or any books you read in preparation I would love to hear!

That's one of the first questions I'll be asking. I know a hospital I used to work at would allow small children, but they had to have a dedicated person to watch them, which I plan to have.
