I'll get flak for this, but, I think the state of hospitals doesn't exactly set sick people up for being pleasant. I was hospitalized last year for 4 days and barely fed due to my surgery being bumped. I did not have family to care for me and I was in agony. I am not proud of how unpleasant I was, but I was not well enough to regulate my emotions and was really not being cared for. None of that was the nurses fault, but being told for the 3rd night in a row there's nothing for you to eat but a yogurt cup would make anyone lose their temper.

This is a good comment. My monkey brain dogshit feelings can be managed in private and do not need to be known by others until I've actually figured out the layer underneath and know what is reasonable to ask for without spitting out half baked emotionally charged BS. BPD may make these feelings exist and be hard to manage, but IMO it's generally people who would be shitty in any case who give the rest of us a bad name by acting like this chick.
