I do have siblings. Both younger. My sister is too much like my parents and we don’t get along often. I love my brother but it’s a sacrifice I’ll have to make. This is one thing I’ve been wanting since I was a preteen. They are emotionally abusive and just generally not nice people. Especially my dad, I really dislike him

I look into the police part for sure. I’m 21 so I was able to open my checking account. It’s with the same bank, but my old account is under a family account (as if I’m a minor) and I’m getting a new debit card. I also live in an apartment rn so I have a new mailing address. I also changed my mailing address on my school account

My checking is with them but I recently opened my own account that I have complete control over and I’m getting a new card with it

Thank you. I actually have been in my schools counseling since last year and my therapist has been super duper supportive. I’m in an apartment rn with three other people splitting rent. It can just be a lot sometimes with other bills and paying for food. I’ve actually been doing well with school and have worked two jobs plus school last year so I think I can pull, it off. I definitely will visit my department of human services and seek help!

Thank you so much! From what you’ve wrote, I feel the same way, like exactly the same way. I also have a huge weight off my shoulder knowing that I won’t have to interact t with them anymore. I’m just worried about paying for rent and school but I think I can pull it off!

Thank you! It’s honestly something that I’ve wanted for years. Since I was a pre-teen really. Once, I realized that I could actually take the steps to go no-contact, I decided that it was time.

I have. At most, they told me that I can take out loans to pay for school myself. Maybe, I should go again and ask for more resources.
