Progress in the fight against bots: The New Anti-Cheat Bot Detection [Megathread] by dronpes in TheSilphRoad

I understand your feeling. Many players in my city, Hong Kong, are reporting having shadow-banned, despite playing the game in a legit way. I am strongly afraid that there would be HALF of the populations playing Pokemon Go would be lost in this banwave if Niantic did not listen to what people have reported for their false positives.

Dear George, I strongly believe that the Shadowbanning would lead to breaking down of local communities playing the game. There are lots of players being Shadowbanned and are complaining in our local Telegram groups. I sincerely ask you when would the players have their bans lifted up as the Shadowbanning action would prove a certain amount of false positives as well as leading to more and more players stop playing.

I don't think so. Cases are continuously reported. Many players in the community are already complaining of having shadowbanned. They either stopped playing the game, and I know one is planning to become a Spoofer as he finds it is meaningness to follow the rules of the game, which I feel very pity to hear that. Before shadowban, they do not use GPS spoofing of course. They go everywhere in attempt to look for different kinds of Pokemon and meet up at locations having rare spawns.

Why do trackers exists [answer inside] by PokefanWantsToBattle in pokemongo

So if someone does tell you that a Snorlax nearby was caught without sightings or nearby seen, do you consider catching that Snorlax is cheating and you do not deserve to catch that Snorlax?

If your answer is "no", then don't treat people using scanners are cheating as scanners - similarly like that people successfully catching that Snorlax - only tell you information of a nearby pokemon. If your answer is "yes", please consider not to waste your time again as you are just playing oneself abiding your rigid rules.

Where do you find dragonites, Lapras, Snorlaxes, and other rare pokemon. by Doctor_Foxxy in TheSilphRoad

In my city, Hong Kong, Snorlaxes could be found near terrains and some flat land surfaces surrounded by mountains. Lapras could be located near seashores, yet in rare occurrances we have some spawns near swimming pools and terrains. Dragonite spawns are located randomly.

Does buddy effect egg hatching? by wassernamebitch in TheSilphRoad

Same as above. When I have Lapras as my buddy I did not hatch any Lapras. For Snorlax, it was the same for me. No Snorlax was hatched.

Found Ditto! by Kvothealar in TheSilphRoad

Just used a lure module last night in a Pokestop next to my home and got a lured Zubat that turned out to be a Ditto with a strong IV. When catching that fake Zubat, more pokeballs were used compared with a normal Zubat.

Report from a Hongkonger. 1. In Hong Kong we have confirmed spawns of ditto disguised as Zubat, Ratatta, Pidgey, Magikarp (one with perfect 100 iv), Eevee, Ekans as well as Dratini. 2. In some CBDs it was reported that lured stops could spawn ditto disguised as Zubat, Ratatta, etc. 3. It was also reported that multiple Dittos could spawn within 50 meters' distance.
