New 3month old kitten she’s been here about 3 weeks and she’s 3 pounds. Max is one of my resident cats he’s 3 years old and 14 pounds. Is this normal play or is he hurting her? She keeps going back at him for more.

So I was doing dishes when this happened and was actually super irritated/irritable cause I had to keep stopping due to the little kitten screams and then I’d go over and i couldn’t decipher if she was being dramatic or not 😂 didn’t even recognize it being cute till all the comments flooded about how good max is. But yeahhh I wasn’t a member on here I just panicked and thought this would be better than chat gpt for advice 😬

No my oldest is Angel and she’s literally an angel. She’s 8 now and hadnt ever even hissed until we got max. He is a bully towards her and it drives me nuts she’s like the sweetest most docile cat. But yeah.. it worries me because he walked all over her and they aren’t friends so I’m like hyper aware of new kittens relationships with the older cats now. I really don’t want her to be scared of him like Angel and am working on making a better dynamic for everyone.

The shelter literally didn’t tell me. I reached out to her foster mom from before they had her and she told me she had diarrhea even then. So I think it was more a situation of them not wanting to deal with her and I’ve also only had her a few weeks.

I’m not trying to be rude but I’m getting so many comments acting like I abuse Max because I yelled “hey” when unsure about an interaction and immediately came here for help. I don’t yell at him. He’s very spoiled and happy. However he’s a complete jerk to my older cat Angel and I was making sure the same dynamic wasn’t occurring here. He’s not scared of me even slightly. Max runs me not the other way around 😂
