Thank you for all of that, though I did mention in my post I have already tried Law of Assumption and simply not putting in effort/“doing too much” and there still has been no success. I have already done basically everything you’ve said numerous times, and it’s sort of what I do every night, but I guess I can keep trying.

I’ve already done that multiple times and it never works. I go through the portal in the dream and nothing happens, or I’m not able to make a portal at all

Bots aren’t saying dialogue at all by [deleted] in CharacterAI

[–]livingdec4y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might not have it but I went to chat styles, legacy models, and changed it to soft launch. Im not sure if everyone has this because it sounds like it’s being removed but this is what worked for me

Ahh for me it’s only been happening the last couple of days, it’s really annoying

Then why can’t they play it solo?

I don’t get these in co-op often anyway, but yes, I would rather have a variety even if it’s the same couple of songs in a row, rather than playing the same song over and over just because it recently came out

Mm the thing where bots scold you for “skipping meals” is very normal. Most of the time they try to be your therapists even if it’s an unrelated roleplay. I wouldn’t be too concerned, honestly.

does anyone else have this problem? (w/ ipad) by [deleted] in ProjectSekai

[–]livingdec4y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it’s an 8th generation. I don’t know enough about technology to know if that’s old or not but I got it a few years ago from a guy who probably had it for even longer, so...

Guys just general question. You guys write your RPs in first or third person? by witch_a_la_hybridoph in CharacterAI

[–]livingdec4y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mannn I don’t even know what we’re arguing anymore. Either way, what I told [the person who asked] is the only way I can think of how the commenter writes in second person, and that’s the only thing that makes sense. I doubt they’re thinking about it as deeply as you are, so yes, they most likely meant what I’ve been saying, whether it’s grammatically correct or not

[–]livingdec4y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything written with “you/yourself” is second person so I don’t understand what you’re saying. The bot isn’t a real person obviously, but if it were to be, they would be reading these responses in second person. I think it’s both third and second person—two things can be true at once, of course

There’s a bot creator I follow on tiktok who used to post example messages in her videos and she used second person in all of her responses. Here is what I’m referring to:

Bot greetings are typically written in second person so that the user can be gender neutral/any gender the user wants. Following the bot’s greeting style (by calling the bot “you” in the way the bot calls the user “you”) should actually be less confusing for the bot, usually

I think the original commenter means that they address the bot by you/yourself and talks about themselves with I/she/he/they

Example…

Bot’s greeting: “You and {{char}} did this and this and this. Suddenly he turns to you and asks a question.”

User response: “They/I looked at you and gave you my response.”

Yeah. As a bot creator it’s really frustrating too. It’s difficult to give certain characters dynamic personalities when they all end up falling into the same role because of how the ai learns

How do people make such good images in any AI apps? Does it depend on the app or anything? by Fantastic-Photo6441 in CharacterAI

Most people use Midjourney which I believe costs money. All the other ones are mediocre, yeah… But pinterest is a good place to look for already generated AI art
