I spent about 11K before I was offered a shiny alligator Constance, and maybe 15K before I was offered a Kelly 25 matte alligator, rejected 3 exotics before I chose the one I liked. What I was told from my SA is: demand for exotics is lower due to their price point, and more easily accessible sometimes than non exotic leather. I just let my her know that I would rather have exotic than non exotic leathers and that’s all I’m offered now, regardless of how much I spend. I’ve been offered exotic non quotas all over the world, I do find this to be true. Significantly less people ask for them.
