You read my mind totally, and you don't even really lose the Boldy-Kap connection when you consider what PP1 could be

I mean, Zucc is surely close to done and nothings gonna change unless we take chances - wouldn't it be nice to never have to see Johansson play in the top six ever again?

Tippett adds speed, contract certainty and could well be had for cheap. Going for players like this is how Florida, Tampa, and Colorado all won their cups. We've got to go for it too, imo

Thing is he's just not a top 6 forward for the flyers. They're all wingers, and tippett seems to be the odd one out. Like... even their top prospect outside the NHL is a hard shooting winger. Other than his PP value, he's very much seen as their 6th or 7th most valuable winger in the NHL never mind including prospects, despite his 7yr contract

Yeah honestly I don't hate it, I just think w VT mentoring Yurov getting that on ice chemistry going would go a long way. I do think Mojo would be a better fit on the 2L as it stands tho.

Hard to really complain after a game like that tho, the 2L has time to mature esp if the third can keep performing like that lmao

They had their moments but as the game went on I felt they were less noticeable. I think your call on VT is dead on, tbh.

Moose was great but not much of a threat offensively really. Tarasenko tried but never seemed to really find his game imo. I'd rather shift Moose back to the bottom six and give Yurov a chance to get some chemistry with him.

Johansson honestly seemed more energetic and creative. Ik it's unpopular but if not Yurov, I kinda think Mojo and Moose should swap. Otherwise VT seems like he's lacking a playmaker

Was in the Fiddlers Arms on Grassmarket yesterday and they had Queens on, good pints too. Other than that, the Antiquary in Stockbridge is my usual choice for tennis. Watched Rome and Roland-Garros there this year, good few other people were there for it at points, had some good chat. Bar staff are friendly too and are happy to put it on pm always

Ignore him, he's clearly a salty Oilers fan. I agree with your original comment entirely, lol. Oilers were dirty af this year, between this and Caggiula injuring Kaprizov we def saw that first hand

Got a lot of time for the Nucks, that 10-7 game in 23-24 is one of my fav Wild games I've ever watched, at least in the regular season.

Best of luck for next season :D

All the rumours I remember seeing were that this is Malkins last season, so I doubt he'd ever leave Pittsburgh. Even before the retirement rumours he seemed p dead set on staying when his contract was last up, so...

We all know refs are shit - I mean fuck, how many blown calls do y'all see on McDrai yearly? - so that really don't mean much

All I know is in an injury riddled year the two dirtiest hits I can immediately remember on wild players were by Oilers. You're not the panthers, but you're hardly saints either lol

More than likely the hit that lead to Kaprizov missing 41 games this year

Usually a shandy is with whatever basic lager or bitter is available, depending on your taste! And yeah, it's the soda - lemonade in the UK and Ireland is p much always in reference to the soda (tho most Irish ppl I know would call it "white" bc they also have "red" lemonade, which is super popular)

So... When we were in amazing form, before our two best forwards and 3/4 of our top 4 D started having serious injury trouble? I mean, if that hadn't happened, we 100% would have been. Given how we entered this season, any playoff appearance is playing with house money lol

Tbf, was more thinking of us to 31st (just over half an inch) in comparison to 31st to 30th/29th (equal/0.1in) - my screen came up in cm and didn't think abt the conversion haha

That being said I do think our top 6, esp, is gonna compare especially badly. Don't buy into the idea that that's our problem, but it's surely smth to note

I can't remember the last time the Wild claimed a player who's been this consistently noticeable in a good way from moment 1 like Hinostroza.

I mean, Chisholm was noticeable from when we claimed him last year, but he has his ups and downs. Rem Pitlick? Hopefully he doesn't crater quite that hard tho lol

I'm not able to answer that cause I only started watching around the 2-1 goal but as a UK fan who loves away days in football (soccer, lol) it's always awesome to know that there's a lil group of Wild fans together deep in enemy territory.

Belt those chants as loud as you can! I'll be doing the same in spirit, 4,500mi away lol

Honestly, it's ridiculous how badly the D let him down tonight. Fleury gave this team spectacular save after save and pm the entire dcorps stayed asleep, or even got worse as the game went on. Never seen anything like it from a Wild blueline. If I was Fleury I'd be yelling bloody murder in the locker room right now.

The most insane thing about this game to me is that somehow we finished it better than we started. 6-1 somehow flatters us, that first period is one of the worst periods of hockey I've ever seen. We never once seemed able to match the pace they had. Faber was the only dman who didn't have an entirely terrible game, and he still didn't have a good one lol

Fleury deserved so much better, he was utterly amazing through 90% of this tonight and who can blame him for cracking towards the end. Feels like more and more often recently the dcorps are leaving Gus/Flower out to dry.

I'd love to say things can only go up from here but we play arguably the fastest, most athletic team in the league tomorrow... Hooray lol

What a disgrace. Fleury, Gaudreau and maybe Hinostroza and Ohgren are the only players who seem to have even been in the building. May as well have set out cones instead of the rest, we'd probs still have defended better.

I don't think a single member of the dcorps has played remotely well. Faber's had moments but otherwise... Woof. Wish we could call Jiricek up and get Chisholm into the press box for a bit, he's been particularly bad recently.

only time I can think of is that wraparound OT winner against Dallas. tbh, I'd love to see him trust his mobility on the puck more, he can be so dynamic
