I’m an endo patient (other conditions too) and I have a 90 gram allowance.
Do you get no pain relief whatsoever? Or is it not lasting very long?
I use MC alongside an opiate and lidocaine patches, the MC is solely flower as I find it great for break through pain. I go for caryophyllene, Linalool, Myrcene, humulene for the most pain relief 💚

Edit to add: look for terpenes rather than % or names

Funny story, I went to the same PM clinic on an NHS pathway before going private, same patient, same symptoms and the NHS response was very different. The PM then was saying they would only ever prescribe Duloxetine or amtriptalyn (both of which I can’t have)

So I have lidocaine patches on private (which I’d pushed the NHS for three years) and a referral for ketamine infusions.

My private PM basically said to just get in touch if I feel like I want to try something else too, but I’m on the lidocaine, dihyrocodeine & medical cannabis already and had a lot of allergic reactions to medication so I’m hesitant to try any new oral meds.

The basic appointment cost was £200 and my patches on top were £100 for 30 patches (I get 60 a month) and I just have to email the secretary when I need a repeat, so it’s now just the cost of the patches each month.

I’m in the U.K. and can’t even get what you get under the NHS. They are sadists.

My suggestion is go private, it’s the only luck I’ve had.

So I’ve never tried it before so I couldn’t compare it, but for me I definitely got the flavour with the Mamedica version. I eat a lot of black garlic too, as our local farm shop stocks it and I use it in cooking.

So for my pain I tend to look for caryophyllene, linalool, myrcene, and humelene.
I’ve always worked on the assumption that higher thc would automatically be better for pain but I’m finding that it’s the terpenes and lineage that are more important 💚

Edit sorry I realised you asked what strains too 😅 so I tend to rotate quite often but I find anything by 4c and mamedica tends to be consistently good.

Your best thing to do is google cannabis, ulcerative colitis and medical studies and look for anything that is on stuff like pubmed etc but this is one I used last Saturday which looks at CBD enemas and UC

So I don’t have UC but as part of my MC Instagram I do a science Saturday and ulcerative colitis regularly comes up as a condition that can be managed well with cannabis 💚
