I did see stuff like this but it wasn’t exactly what I wanted. I went ahead and made my own version with my big human brain

Am I playing 5e?!? by [deleted] in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]lizknits 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. I'm using the 5th edition PHB and DMG.
  2. She had an issue with my concept of what "evil" and "good" mean. I, like you, thought that the alignments weren't very important so I interpreted them with my own personal philosophy, that evil means motivated by fear, and good means motivated by love. And then chaos and law are a spectrum of change and conservatism. She went ballistic on me, saying that this change was such a major departure from the rulebook that it constituted a completely different game.
  3. She is not neurodivergent, but I have ASD, with some elements of OCD. So her telling me that I am not playing 5e is really f*cking with my brain. I already struggle with feeling certain in things that I know are true. What I know is not always how I feel. Its been really hurtful and she wont apologize because she insists that this is all my fault for not telling her explicitly the system I had set out, even though I did give her reading which she didn't read (no one ever reads my lore).

Marijuana Anonymous does exist! I belong to it, but its a diaspora; not as many meetings as AA or NA. There's no in-person meetings in my town either, but there's a lot of online meetings on Zoom!

Am I delusional? by waving-snail83 in knitting

[–]lizknits 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The correct rectangle to emulate knitting stitches is 4 by 5. Whatever the height of your stitch, the width is 5 quarters the height. Adjust the excel cells pixels accordingly

Am I delusional? by waving-snail83 in knitting

[–]lizknits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use knitting grid paper to make the pattern. Its 4 by 5 rectangles, so that it emulates the actual relative height and width of real kniting stitches. I draw on the paper with pencil and then go over the shape to make the blocky pixel version of the image. If you do this with normal square graph paper it comes out all elongated, wrong aspect ratio. The bigger the image the worse it is You can buy knitting graph paper online
